Radio I have to say after looking at all the pictures...have really made me take a second thought and going on this ship...I had thought it would be way to crowded...but didn't seem to bad and looks very nice. Thanks for all the great pic's

Radio,

Once again, thank you for sharing your journey with us. It has been such fun. A week sure does fly by too quickly doesn't it? thats why we now do back to backs if we can't find a 12 - 14 day cruise. More time to savour our time on board.

I am looking forward to seeing the rest of your photos!

Thank your Radio for all of your postings and pictures!!! Just wondering if Scott is still playing in the Pub? Do you know if Cindy was the LA on your cruise? We were on the Oasis during Christmas and New Years and really loved the the ship. As you can see, we are going back in June. Hope you have a safe journey home!!!

My sentiments exactly....Thank you so much! Fantastic....and we're not even sailing on the Oasis. DH and I hate to have to disembark, and I'm sure you and DW feel the same after being on such a beautiful ship with wonderful ports of call. Enjoy the last few hours onboard! Have a safe trip home.

We will be getting off when they call the last passenger to be off of the ship !

I was told shortly before 10AM that they were closing the gangway and I would have to disembark :D

Thank you so much Radio for letting us ride along this week! It has definitely helped slowy ease me back into reality.

Thank you soooooooooo much for taking all this time out of your vacation to post the pix and answer questions. We'll be on the Mariner next week and if DH didn't declare a moratorium on laptops for our trip, I would do the same. :o

Again, thanks for your time and energy!

Radio, just wanted to add my thanks for all the posts and pictures. We're on the April 17th cruise and your posts have really made it almost impossible to wait!!! Is the "beach" picture in Nassau from the British Colonial Hilton? How far is this from the pier? It doesn't look very far. Is there a restaurant/bar area there? We're debating not getting of the ship in Nassau, but somewhere close like this might be just what we're looking for. We've done the Atlantis thing and a few excursions in Nassau, so we're kind of just looking for a place to spend two or three hours just hanging out. Thanks again!

Hello everyone. . . We left Nassau promptly at 7PM, and are on our way to Fort Lauderdale.

We got off of the ship today by about 1PM, and we really didn’t do much at all . . . Except to walk around a few downtown shops.

We did go over to the British Colonial Hilton for a bit. I like to go over there whenever I am in Nassau, to take a few photos of the ships in port.

The sun stayed behind the clouds most of the day, so I was unable to get some good pics. On the way back we had to stop at Starbucks in Nassau for a nice Coffee.

With 5 ships in Port today, things were a little hectic with many passengers trying to get the gift that they forgot. I was able to get some Conch Fritters in Cruise Terminal (Festival Place), and they were great !

The Oasis of the Seas should be arriving in Port tomorrow before 5AM.

We have been told that the first passengers will be getting off between 615AM, and 730AM. We will be getting off when they call the last passenger to be off of the ship !

I still have a few photos to take, so I will be all over tomorrow. I will be spending the night near Orlando, FL tomorrow. That should be about a 4 Hr drive (depending on traffic). I will catch the AutoTrain on Sunday morning for my final arrival home on Monday Morning. I will still be posting tomorrow morning, and plan to post (more pics) when I arrive at my Hotel tomorrow afternoon. I know I have posted many pics already, but most of them have not been seen and I will try to get to them quickly.

When I get to my Hotel tomorrow, I will read through the whole thread again, to make sure that all questions have been answered.

Thanks for all of the nice comments, and thanks to everyone for tuning in.

Wow. . . It is raining hard now, as I am out on my balcony typing this post. At least mother nature waited till the last day for a heavy rain !

Radio

The British Colonial is where I proposed to my wife in '91. It wasn't part of Hilton yet at the time.

Radio, thanks for taking the time to include us in your adventure this past week. I wish you a safe trip home.

God Bless.

The British Colonial is only a couple of blocks from the piers. Senior Frogs is right between the pier and the British Colonial. All real close.

Starbucks , Nassau was where we had to take a pit stop from snorkeling in the freezing water. Great place to hang out. While there it was overun with cruisers.

I can hardly wait for your overall reflection of what you think this cruise has meant to you. Enjoy your remaining time there, Radio.

Radio,

Do you have any pictures of the casino on the Oasis? Also, how big are the casinos on cruise ships? Are they the size of a decent banquet hall, or just small rooms with a few tables and slot machines?

Finally, what is this auto-train that you mention that takes you home overnight?

Thanks for the informative and interesting tour.

Hi Radio

Thanks for all your photos and info. I love reading the posts. We leave in 3 weeks for our oasis cruise! Our cruise is Sat-Sat, which seems a day off from your cruise. Are there nightlights in the cabin bathroom (head)? Seems like I recall someone posting that when the door closes that a night light comes on which would be nice. Glad you had a nice cruise! Thanks again!

p.s. My heart goes out to all of you on here with cancer. I don't know you but you are in my prayers. God Bless you all.

Yes, it was taken from the British Colonial Hilton in Nassau. They offer a beach Pass for Cruise Ship Passengers that will allow you beach access, pool access, towels, and full use of chairs, showers, changingrooms, and floats and kayaks.

The cost is $40.PP and includes a $30. food/drink voucher.

We didn't do it this trip, but when we were here in November we used it, and it worked out pretty well. There is also an Internet Cafe in the lobby. They have a nice pool bar/grill right next to the pool.

I just walked down to the beach and took a few pics. . . There was no cost for that.

Radio,

I can only imagine how you feel about wanting to stow away, the Oasis is AMAZING!!! I just wanted to echo a great BIG thank you for this past week. I am so happy that I stumbled across your "LIVE" post last Monday. I have been able to read all of this one and many others you have done, including your blog. I also recently bought a camera for my upcoming cruise and was not overly pleased with it and now I'm considering changing to the Sony H series. Thanks again and have a safe trip home, just sharing what you love has helped to make many very happy.:D God Bless and wishing you many more wonderful cruises.
