You should know what happens when you "assume" anything. In this instance, your assumption is incorrect. There are safes in all of the staterooms.:)

Why would you assume that a new ship like Independence would not have safes in the cabins? They have become pretty standard on most ships a long time ago.

in the closet - there is a small safe.... not large enough for a lap top - but jewelry - $$$ - passports, etc......

They are larger than hotel safes, but not big enough for all of your electronics! Lock those things in your suitcase, if you must.

Your money, wallets, cameras, phones, etc...will fit into the safe.

Although not big boxes, we fitted a Samsung notebook in our's on the NOS last year, along with our other bits.

It depends how carefully you organise it!

Don't get overheated I think the poster was only pointing out that sometimes in life it's never a good idea to assume anything :D I find when I assume 99% the **** hits the fan lol.

Just be careful. On Independence they have moved the microwave from over the dresser area into the closet. It is very easy to get pizza on your clothes.:D

Maybe if you had just said this was your first cruise and were wondering....

 

It just came across, to me, in your wording that Indy was somehow below par with what is typically found aboard ships. It just seemed odd. Indy is an amazing ship with far more, not less, than you will find on many ships.

Ain't that just the truth. The amount of cruise time I have spent complaining about my laundry costs after a drunken mishap at the front desk and to the Cruise Director....well I should be should get some OBC in compensation.

 

RCCI should have thought of this when designing the layout. Then I heard that the CD using this for cheap laughs.....oh my blood boils.

 

I'll give them one more chance and stick to Pepperoni in future.

 

Has anyone else ever had a pizza mishap in the closet or is it just me?
