chef_christoph Posted April 20, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 20, 2010 (edited) As overly dramatic titles seem to be all the rage, I had to come up with one that would compete with some of the others I've seen lately. I have been AWOL from the boards until just recently and I am curious to know of any news (rumor, conjecture...whatever) regarding possible changes to the C&A level requirements. I did try to search but to no avail. Thanks! Oh, and no animals were hurt in the writing of this post... Paul65 Posted April 20, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 20, 2010 Are you diamond plus? If so, they will not only replace your dog, but offer you a free three category pet upgrade.

chef_christoph Posted April 20, 2010 Author #5 Share Posted April 20, 2010 Don't forget to demand a diamond studded collar! :D You mean to tell me that I have to ask for one? Shouldn't they just give me one without having to ask? Don't they know who I am?
julesbeara Posted April 20, 2010 #6 Share Posted April 20, 2010 (edited) RCCL should give you a Diamond Plus collar tag to go with the Diamond studded collar and the replacement dog that you shouldn't have to ask for. Silvery Seas Cruiser Posted April 20, 2010 #11 Share Posted April 20, 2010 Insist that your next dog must be allowed in the Concierge Lounge or you will be looking for another cruiseline.

chef_christoph Posted April 20, 2010 Author #14 Share Posted April 20, 2010 Only if they don't wear jeans in the dining room. Don't worry, we'll stick to the specialty restaurants. From all I have read about the food quality in the MDR, it doesn't sound like the food in there is even fit for him.:D:D
chef_christoph Posted April 20, 2010 Author #15 Share Posted April 20, 2010 Is the dog the one reserving all those pool chairs? No, no, that's the chair HOG, not the chair DOG. :p
julesbeara Posted April 20, 2010 #16 Share Posted April 20, 2010 I think they should give you a dog & a pony with fitted formal wear so they can eat in the MDR.
mechcc Posted April 20, 2010 #17 Share Posted April 20, 2010 If you are eating in the speciality resturant, your dog should be at least 12 years old - otherwise they are too young and will bother others looking for a romantic dinner. Did you know that if your dog is the 3rd passenger in the cabin they will have to pay more than you! :D

Did you know that if your dog is the 3rd passenger in the cabin they will have to pay more than you! :D Well, MY dog is ALWAYS on his best behavior. Surely the age rule only applies to other, less mannered, dogs. And now that I have a dog AND a pony, the rates should drop because there will be four of us in the room. momzcruzing Posted April 20, 2010 #22 Share Posted April 20, 2010 I'm at work and laughing so hard, I may lose my job (method of cruise payment) over this thread. I really hate to burst your bubble but your pony is double sized so you will need to get a second cabin or a family suite. But the good news is you can call the special services division and they will help arrange the special diet your pony will need. I'm sure the filet migon will be just fine for your dog. So Royal Caribbean discriminates against mixed species families now? My pony doesn't eat nearly as much as an adult would. This is just bad business practices by Royal Caribbean. This is just bad business practices by Royal Caribbean. Well, maybe not. But your pony also doesn't participate in revenue generating activities like the bar, bingo, art auctions, spa treatments and since there is no horse racing - the casino. Therefore, while your pony may eat less, it also doesn't produce as much revenue. And don't forget, they have to hire an extra person for the free "poop patrol" (don't forget, you really should tip them).
