Opinion needed!

My opinion is that you should not ask such a question without giving an indication of the location of the two cabins.

But...I did take the time to look up the deck plan. I would say it doesn't matter much. I tend to prefer mid-ship, so I would have stuck with the original cabin, but the one you picked is close to the aft elevators/stairs, so it will be reasonably convenient, as well.

I would pick 9546. Prime real estate located at center ship. . .just in case of high swells.

As we've been on the Monarch on several occasions, we just thought being in the aft by the "not so busy elevator" would be a good spot.

That's the cabin I just gave up.....we've been on the Monarch on several occasions and thought being in the aft by the "not so busy elevator" would be a good spot.

Here's the thing about Monarch. It is a very confusing deck plan. Having a cabin closer to the back is a plus because it provides easier access to the theater, casino, and Schooner Bar. However, you can't get to the dining rooms from back there. You will have to go down to deck 5, walk through the Schooner Bar or casino, than walk down 1 or 2 floors to the MDR. Being midship is a plus for the dining rooms since you have to enter from the centrum. Also, being misdhip is better for the Windjammer and pool deck.

If you've been on the Monarch several times, trust your own experience.

Were we in SOV9080 a few weeks ago and agree about that being the "not so busy elevator" in the aft. It's easy to go down a few floors and cut across to get to the front.
