Is Nautica Stern B1 Cabin 6093 for 35 Nights OK?

We are booked on a 35 day in a stern B1 balcony. Previous threads indicate people like them. The cabin is the same size but the balcony is deeper. We are booked on a 35 day and am wondering if this is a good choice. Has anyone else done a long cruise in these cabins? Is the engine vibration an issue? Does seeing the scenery after you are by it an issue? Any noise issues from the decks above and blow these cabins? Is the balcony railing solid or glass? Is a port or starboard B1 or B2 better from a scenery point of view. Any help in deciding on this appreciated.

Is the engine vibration an issue? the Regatta has vibration problem in the aft cabins not sure on the other ships

Does seeing the scenery after you are by it an issue? personal issue

Is the balcony railing solid or glass? solid

Is a port or starboard B1 or B2 better from a scenery point of view. Any help in deciding on this appreciated.

It depends on what scenery you will see & your perspective

Most of the time you will only see the dock or the ocean when in port.

Other times you may be too far from shore to see anything

I usually agree with Lyn's observations but not on this. We have taken two cruises in Regatta's stern cabins (7114) and were not bothered by vibration noises or any other noises come to think of it.

I enjoyed seeing the scenery as we passed. Don't think that would make a difference.

My only hesitation with this location is the presence of solid guard rails. Not a deal breaker but if one is lying down on a lounge you will not see the sea. When we ate on the deck it was lovely to have the view.

We were in one of the deck 7 aft staterooms on the Regatta and loved it! It's the best place to be on the entire ship when leaving ports . . . we have some fantastic photos of our port departures.

I don't know when Lyn sailed in an aft Regatta stateroom, but we did not have any vibration problems on our Scandinavian Splendors cruise a year ago.

As to port or starboard, it will make little difference since the two staterooms are side-by-side. You will be able to see both sides as well as the ship's wake from the veranda. BTW, you will become friends with your aft stateroom neighbors . . . the partitions between the verandas have an angle instead of being squared off.

These are among the most prized staterooms on the R ships! You will be happy you booked it.

We spent 14 days in 6093 on Nautica and loved it. :D Would book again in a heartbeat. There is a slight vibration, particularly when leaving port, but nothing that bothered us. We got to know our neighbors next door in the Owner's Suite.

The balcony is immense compared to those on the sides of the ship.

Enjoy!

Always stateroom choice is a personal preference. We managed to snag 6090 after several stateroom changes (at the time of booking none were available). The aft stateroom was always our goal.

We have traveled on O two times in 8066 (aft verandah) and it was spectacular. The visual aspect is important to us especially on a 35 day cruise. Walking into your room makes everything seem more spacious when you can look through and see that large, gorgeous deck. And the wake is spectacular.

We traveled with several couples and we hosted many a party there with room to spare.

The solid wall was not a problem for us as we could see the sea sitting down on our verandah. Never experienced any soot problems, vibration. Not that it couldn't happen but don't think it is a major problem.

Looking forward to meeting you neighbor!

Having spent 38 days in 7114 in May-June I can tell you it's NOT too long.

The views are the best on the ship IMHO. We have been in the front and it's nothing like it. We have felt little or no vibration and absolutely no noise from above or below. The solid railing has never bothered us since there are great views while sitting or standing. Since the B1 cabins are in the middle of the back either are good as are either of the OS. Just book and enjoy!:)

We were in 6093 on both the Nautica and Insignia- love the view. It, and the one next door, 6090 were taken for our Regatta cruise to Alaska next year, so we are in the one above it. The views are unbeatable, even when on a lounger, as long as you are not lying flat. The vibration was not noticeable, but you did get some soot from the smokestacks. The cabin, as are all category A and B are pretty small for 35 days, but comfortable. The fact that we have booked the same (or almost the same) cabin three times speaks for itself as to our enjoyment.

The OP asked about deck 6 cabins

We noticed vibration on Regatta we were in 6084 (on the side not directly aft)

When the ships was cruising full out it was a lot of vibration

We have been in 7115 again on the side aft .....Deck 7 it is not so bad
