Smoke in Aqua Spa Cafe on S class?

I have never noticed any smoke in the Aqua Spa Cafe area at all.

There is no smoking allowed in that area or in the Solarium pool area

either.

One of the reviews mentions that this cafe is near the smoking section. Is smoke a problem here? Is it possible to get here without smelling smoke?

The smoking section is right outside the sliding doors entry into the solarium, so there is a good possibility of cigarette smoke drafting into the area once the doors open/close.

I've got a pretty good nose, and never smelled smoke in the Aqua Spa Cafe area, but when you walk from the solarium into the outside bar area to get an adult beverage, it can be pretty bad.

I noticed the same thing on Millennium last year -- with the doors closed, no problem; but we would get a whiff everytime the doors slid open. We just relocated to the other side of the solarium and used the doors on the other side of the Aquaspa Cafe.

On the Solstice the Aqua Cafe is on the Port side at the back of solarium. If you entered the solarium on the starboard side and walked across the back of the solarium you should have any issue with second hand smoke.

Agreed. I wish they would eliminate all smoking around the pool area. I hate the way it drifts into one side of the solarium, which is enclosed and therefore the smoke hangs around.

I sailed on the Equinox twice in 2010 and on both cruises noticed the smell of cigarettes in the solarium on the side of the ship where smoking was permitted right outside the solarium doors. I am very reactive to it, so found it awful. Walking out of the solarium through "smokers' alley" can be quite disgusting also. Another strange place, I always found a hint of the smell of cigarettes was walking along the stretch that has the shops on one side and the casino on the other. Smoking is not permitted there, so I don't know where it's coming from.
