mini length dress on elegant night?

I'm going with the majority and saying wear it. I think it would be cool not to let him know what kind of dress you chose before hand, send him ahead of you to wait somewhere (maybe one of the bars) while you got ready, then meet up with him. What a shocker he'll get. If your going to play the sexy wife...do it up good ;)

I agree with the poster above to surprise him by having him meet you in the bar after you get dressed so that it is a shocking surprise....plus that way you will actually get to dinner on time.

I went the short dress route, although not black or tight, with a pair of 4" heels, on our last cruise and felt like a James Bond Girl with DH in his suit. I did NOT walk for very long but made dinner and a short time in the casino before my feet remembered that I am usually Mom in flats, although I was asked to put them back on later...:p

You've inspired me OP!

I recently lost 20 pounds, and dug an old dress my husband has never seen before out of storage. Red, and definately sexier than any of my "mommy" dresses and it fits!

Sneaking it into the suitcase to bring along. Hope he's surprised. Thanks for the inspiration! :p

I see that you are celebrating your anniversary on this trip. I think it would be a crime for you NOT to take the dress. So much of you and your hubby's life centers on raising your family. This trip is for raising some 'heck' together early and often if you catch my meaning.

Her dh reported that they wouldn't allow her in the MDR thus one of the reasons he switched lines;)

We saw something similar to this on Lido during embarkation. An older woman was wearing see through black mesh shirt and pants with nothing on underneath except a very black "panty". She kept walking back and forth, I guess looking to be propositioned although I doubt anyone had change for a dollar at that point?

I am a man in my 50"s and you bet I love to look at a pretty woman, BUT it seams more and more people try to justify dressing down when the should be dressing up, we use to be a society that enjoyed the elegance that once made us all dream of being (for the guys John Wayne)(the girls Princess Dianna) so my vote is dress up and fell like a star we don't get many opportunities anymore to do it, take advantage!!

Would this be a good time to bring back the pics of the chain mail dress?

I saved them so I could post them if need be:D

Oh no! NOOOO!!!!! I don't want to have to fight the urge to pluck my eyes out of my head again.

If you have got it - use it!!

The only women that will complain are the ones that have not been size 6 since puberty. The dirty looks will come from females that WISH they could do this.

The truth of it is, most all men and many woman will secretly love your mini dress.

And NO, age has nothing to do with it. My wife still looks 40 at 58 and YES, she wears minis, gets compliments and turns heads. She does all this "commando" too. (she has kept her looks for the 41 years we have been married and she says it is because she lives her own life and does not worry about others being jealous) I have found it very easy to stay with one woman this long because she knows how to be a woman.

Have a great cruise, I know your hubby will, because I understand, been there and still doing that!!!

This thread has reiterated that wearing my sisters Senior Prom dress and my 8th grade Cotillion dress is a good idea. One is formal, long and detailed. The other is semi-formal, short and sweet. Can't wait to wear it, as I've been working my butt off to lose weight and get toned.
