Port of Miami transportation, hotel info

We are flying into Fort Lauderdale the day before we sail on the Majesty of the Seas out of Miami. Can anyone recommend a limo or transportation service and a hotel close to the port that may also transport to the ship the next morning? Thanks.

Try the Florida departures board for more info...Bayside hotel (examp Holiday Inn) area is very popular as is transportation from FLL to Miami area hotels www.ridesas.com ..If the hotel you will be using doesn't have a shuttle to the port a taxi will work out well...

We stay at the Marriott Biscayne Bay which is close to the port and a short cab ride there

Last March we stayed at the Hyatt Place South in Fort Lauderdale (they had free airport shuttle) and we used QLS Transportation from the hotel to the port and from the port back to Fort Lauderdale airport.

Don't worry about a "free" shuttle...a cab will be about $8-10...not a big deal, in the scheme of things!

I have used SAS travel from FLL to the port of Miami http://www.ridesas.com and would recommend them. They did a great job both dropping us off and pick us up from the Port of Miami to FLL

The Intercontinental and the Holiday Inn Port of Miami are two nice hotels very near the port. If your room faces the port you'll have a great view of the ships. Both hotels are a very short walk to Bayside Marketplace, a great place to shop and eat.

The inter-continental is also a great hotel but why would you want a shuttle even if it were free, they tell you what time they will bring you then you need to worry how many passengers they will have....just take the cab it not cost much and you get there quicker without waiting for the other passengers to load up and get inside.

We used SAS for post-cruise transportation from the Port of Miami to FLL and they were great - I know they'll do the reverse as well. They were there on time, friendly service, etc. I wouldn't hesitate to book with them again.

We stayed at the Marriott Biscayne Bay which constantly had yellow cabs outside so no problem getting one at all, less than 30 seconds to get one. :)
