ckrobyn Posted August 18, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2011 I printed my set sail pass yesterday for my upcoming Freedom of the Seas cruise, and I am not sure what the "G" stands for next to the DP which I know is Diamond Plus, and the JS which I know is Junior Suite. I am going to attach a picture to show you what I mean.... Anyone have any clue?
crusinmama06 Posted August 18, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 18, 2011 The AFT is "G"reat :p;) Sorry I don't know, hoping someone else can help you out.
njmomof2 Posted August 18, 2011 #3 Share Posted August 18, 2011 Perhaps your muster station?
smltwngrl76 Posted August 18, 2011 #4 Share Posted August 18, 2011 It looks like a typical cabin category.... not that I understand what they mean yet. Nor do I understand why yours would be both JS *and* G. Hopefully someone can shed some light...

I don't think it is the muster station either, because my seapass for the Allure cruise only has a D for Diamond. As I am in a lowly Balcony cabin, they do not mention the cabin type, this is only for suites. Have you ordered any gifts or other extras?
Jimbo Posted August 18, 2011 #7 Share Posted August 18, 2011 Just a guess but did you prepay gratuities ? Jimbo:)

smltwngrl76 Posted August 18, 2011 #9 Share Posted August 18, 2011 What cabin category is a G? A grand suit would be GS. Ah... I see your lowly balcony and raise you an oceanview! LOL. As such: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/ships/ship/decks/deck/home.do?deckCode=03&shipCode=FR&shipProfile=1352&sailDate=1110821&hasNavigation=false Boy I hope that works, it's a huge URL I guess. But she's on Freedom of the Seas, and there are oceanview staterooms that are labeled G.
smltwngrl76 Posted August 18, 2011 #10 Share Posted August 18, 2011 It's nowhere near as orange of a G as her G, however. So... I digress. I definitely don't admit to having a clue what I'm talking about, this is all new to me as well. haha
tanstaafl_2001 Posted August 18, 2011 #11 Share Posted August 18, 2011 Looks like she is in an aft Junior Suite. Ah... I see your lowly balcony and raise you an oceanview! LOL. It does not answer the question of the OP though, she is in a JS
smltwngrl76 Posted August 18, 2011 #13 Share Posted August 18, 2011 Yep, she's definitely in an aft junior suite on deck 10. But the oceanview was the only place I'd ever seen that G before. ckrobyn, please call RCCL as soon as you can and ask them so we know! :D
foxesden1 Posted August 18, 2011 #14 Share Posted August 18, 2011 Robyn's been demoted! Robyn's been demoted! HA HA HA HA HA! :D yes that is it, the big wigs are counting back.. for every post you make on CC which has a neg effect on RCL, they are removing a night, so my dear it looks like you have gone from D+ to Gold. That must have been some topic you started! LOL ;):D
smltwngrl76 Posted August 18, 2011 #15 Share Posted August 18, 2011 OK... ding ding ding! Here is my official guess: It means that your seapass will be the color "gold." Final answer! :D I base this on this statement: "We are Diamond members, but on a recent cruise we booked a Grand Suite. Early one mornining at the casino bar we paid for Bloody Mary's with our Seapass Card. The couple next to us asked why our card was Gold and theirs was Silver. The bartender explained to them that we were Suite Guests." Which I found in this thread: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1151425

Daghis Posted August 18, 2011 #18 Share Posted August 18, 2011 OK... ding ding ding! Here is my official guess: It means that your seapass will be the color "gold." Final answer! :D I don't think this would be the case because JS guests don't get gold SeaPasses. I was thinking that perhaps it had something to do with a segment of the ship. Our luggage tags have B or C on them, so perhaps it could go up to a G, but then I checked my SetSail Pass and there isn't a letter shown for that other than my cabin category. Which I found in this thread: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1151425 The Gold seapass card is for Grand Suites and above and does not denote your status with C&A.....Yes my card says suite, but the seapass color is silver for Junior Suites! Even tho the seapass color for JS is silver, do you get a gold seapass for being Diamond Plus?
Lorey2007 Posted August 18, 2011 #22 Share Posted August 18, 2011 Maybe it means "Gift". Don't diamond plus members get some sort of gift?
ckrobyn Posted August 18, 2011 Author #23 Share Posted August 18, 2011 Even tho the seapass color for JS is silver, do you get a gold seapass for being Diamond Plus? No - at least that was not the case on my AOS cruise in March. We had a JS, we are Diamond Plus and our sea pass cards were silver.....I don't believe anything has changed in that regard. Merion_Mom Posted August 18, 2011 #24 Share Posted August 18, 2011 Even tho the seapass color for JS is silver, do you get a gold seapass for being Diamond Plus? No. It just says "Diamond Plus" at the bottom of the white/silver/gold Seapass.
Merion_Mom Posted August 18, 2011 #25 Share Posted August 18, 2011 Maybe it means "Gift". Don't diamond plus members get some sort of gift? No "G" on my Set Sail Pass, printed out and ready to go! I'm telling you, Robyn is in a WORLD of trouble! ;)
