Ship Name for 2014

I searched for previous threads but couldn't find one regarding the new new ship for 2014. After the Royal, does anyone know for sure whether Princess has named the ship that comes out in 2014. According to Wikipedia, it is being named the Palm Princess!

No annoucement yet. When the Royal name was announced a few months back, Regal seemed to be the most popular choice on these boards.

True, the Sun Princess came out years before the NCL Sun though. I think the two Stars came out around the same time. They have a Dawn as well...bloody name thieves ;)

I saw this on Wikipedia a couple weeks back as well. I wouldn't put all the eggs in one basket quite yet. Wikipedia isn't exactly known for its accuracy.

Agreed, however there was a stir a while back after the Carribean Princess came out to name the next the California Princess however I doubt that princess would go with specific place names because try as though they may, the Caribbean Princess is not solely in Caribbean waters anymore...and the next 2 ships will likely not touch Pacific waters till the canal is widened...and even after then, very unlikely.

Perhaps they could recycle the 1st cruise ship name "Princess Patricia" and then have a contest for anyone named Patricia to win a free cruise on the maiden voyage, or be the ships godmother!!

Interesting article. I never knew that the Princess Margureite that used to sail out of Seattle to Victoria was related (although the most recent one was actually a car ferry.)
