Tipping luggage porters at cruise dock

They are not employees of the cruise line, and if you are asking sincerely, it is my opinion they would appreciate their own currency. Consider someone tipping in Euros in the United States... would it be welcomed? Probably not (not being facetious, but making a point).

You'll need Euros for Europe anyway. You can get some from your home bank before you leave, or use one of the many ATM's in Barcelona. We did that and it was fast and easy. :)

We always tip the luggage handlers at the cruiseport..however on our most recent cruise 2 weeks ago out of Barcelona (and we were prepared with Euros) things moved sooooo fast we didn't have a chance to, he grabbed our bags handed them off and he moved on quickly..not exactly what we're used to when sailing out of Port Everglades or Miami....
