They move from ship to ship & have vacation time so it depends on when your cruise is & what they are doing at that time

It will be noted in the cruise booklet when the time comes

If you are booking a cruise just for a specific CD then lots of luck with that

I don't know who your CD will be in NZ/OZ in 2012 but I do know that the CD on Regatta at the present is Dottie.

Leslie will be on the Nautica in December going from Cape Town to Sinapore, so I would think he'll be there until Nautica comes back to Europe....We're sailing then and I'm so happy to see Leslie again!! Arlene:)

I believe Leslie told us he would be on the Maiden Riviera, and I will be disappointed in not seeing him as we cancelled the Maiden due to the itinerary. We are doing the Marina instead. Leslie is great (on one of our Silver Sea trips). He was on our Spitzbergen trip. Great, great CD.

And Dottie told me that she will be on the Marina in January 2012!! Arlene;)

Just hope Pittsburg is not in the superbowl! She is a fanatic fan and we did not win any of those "pool" bets! Somehow, she even managed to get the game on screen in the middle of the Tasmanian Sea when nothing else worked. A remarkable lady! Her hubby, Tom?, great talent too!

I so hope some day we will sail again with Dottie (CD) and Tom (comedian}. We did a 60 cruise day 2 years ago and it was a great combo. We were just so looking forward that Dottie and Tom would be booked again on our January cruise on the Regatta. Sail on Dottie and Tom, you are the reason we like cruising with Oceania!

Just received our cruise docs for Jan 23 Marina Cruise and Dottie is noted at Cruise Director :) I have seen a lot of posts speaking very positive about her and husband Tom. I am now intrigued and looking forward to seeing what she is like, and what kind of activities to expect.

Had Nolan Dean on Regatta in Alaska and he was a good Comedian but found the day activities lacking, and a little disappointing fortunately the Alaskan scenery was a awesome substitute. On this trip however we'd like something more from a CD.

Our 11/20 Islands in the Sun cruise docs listed Dottie as the C/D. Willie replaced her for an unknown reason. He was fine, did a great Q&A on the 2nd sea day but some folks (including us) got a little tired of his patter after 10 days. What I did enjoy was the change in his voice after the 4th or 5th announcement he made as the disembarkation process devolved into something laughable. While most of us crowded into the casino area waiting to be allowed into the Lounge (per Willie's announcement) he kept asking for 2 international pax they could not seem to find and this delayed customs and immigration for at least 20 minutes. After they found those two Willie finally announced everyone waiting in line for the lounger could do an about face and proceed to the gangway. Several minutes later in a different and more stressed voice he announced we would be debarking by color and number. This drew a few boos, nobody paid attention and that was the last I heard of Willie.

leonardray, we are on the January 17th Regatta cruise from Papeete to NZ (I suppose it's the cruise before yours) and on our last cruise, David Shermet told me that Willie Aames was our CD for this cruise. So I suppose he will also be your CD. We received our booklet about 2 wks ago and he's pictures as the CD. But as someone said, these things can change fast!

Cheers,

Jan

I hate to say it, but I had friends who returned after their first cruise w/O and cancelled their next cruise because of their experience with the CD (Ames) and what happened at disembarkation. I must say that after 12 w/O, Ames drove us crazy. Anyway, to each his own.
