halos Posted October 18, 2011 #151 Share Posted October 18, 2011 I am trying to be careful about full blown reviews. It would seem that almost every time I put one together there are always a few that want to take issue with things. If I use the word "suite", "butler", "priority", "VIP" (and others) there are people who get worked up for some reason -- granted, that happens more on the Carnival board than Celebrity or NCL. I may just stick to bits and pieces for now... LOL :D Tom I know what you mean....you go from cruiser to 'elitist' in seconds flat  Bits and pieces work... (how did it compare to the Epic??)
Mumsykat Posted October 18, 2011 #152 Share Posted October 18, 2011 I HATE that it's been 2 years since my last cruise... but I've got that taken care of! :D
qbanrican84 Posted October 18, 2011 #153 Share Posted October 18, 2011 2. No hot foods on the room service menu (would love a burger). I've always wanted the same thing...especially for breakfast! 3. They make it too darn tempting to book another cruise, and then another, and another, and another........:D Yea, that's my problem too! lol started on our honeymoon cruise, and hasn't stopped. 2. Ships with only ONE pool, aka human stew pot (Fantasy class). I mean REALLY! HOW many people are on this ship??? wht makes them think this tiny little pool is going to be enough? MORE Caribbean , Jimmy Buffett , Zac Brown , and steel drum musicThru out the ship ! I agree! Not really my type of music at all, but there'sjust something about hearing it when you're on a cruise! lol I love it. ...
Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted October 18, 2011 #154 Share Posted October 18, 2011 ...(how did it compare to the Epic??) Not even close - but most anything would fall short in that comparison! Our cabin was too small (though it was a corner penthouse). They had our bottle of champagne in our cabin for sailaway - when we went to enjoy it, they had never iced it down. The casino took money from me (unlike the Epic..LOL). You know... just little things! On a side note, we had to give the "ok" to put one of our two 15 year old cats to sleep right before sailaway (kidney disease)... so that put a cloud over the weekend... :( Tom
qbanrican84 Posted October 18, 2011 #155 Share Posted October 18, 2011 It's alwasy FREEEZING in the hallways and in the theatre! I literally have to take a sweater with me everytime I leave my cabin

Blurgh Posted October 18, 2011 #157 Share Posted October 18, 2011 I think I would put that at the top of my list of complaints as well. The funny thing is what happens when everyone goes storming off the boat at the same time. No one gets off. :) The last couple of cruises I've been on, embarkation has been a total debacle. Not singling Carnival out on this one.

No one gets off. :) The last couple of cruises I've been on, embarkation has been a total debacle. Not singling Carnival out on this one. I had one of our BEST debarkation experiences on the Pearl (Sunday). We walked RIGHT OFF at about 8 AM... no lines AT ANY POINT. On the road by 8:15 or so!! Either everyone else got off in the 45 prior minutes, or they were all sleeping in!! :D Tom

I literally have to take a sweater with me everytime I leave my cabin  I agree it's really cold and I am hot natured. But I'd rather take a jacket than wind up hot and sweaty and around a bunch of sweaty people. :-)
Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted October 18, 2011 #160 Share Posted October 18, 2011 :( I'm sorry...I know that pain all too well. Thanks. I think his brother will be around a few more years! It is tough to balance all the good times (having pets) with the inevitable... we may just keep a fish tank when he is gone. Tom

Tom Easier said than done....believe me. I said 'never again' and a week later was hunting for a breeder.... a house isn't a home without an animal in it. holpak Posted October 19, 2011 #163 Share Posted October 19, 2011 1. I wish everything fun wasn't so late at night.. i ended up so tired i couldn't stay up for the fun stuff. 2. They should play more movies during the day.. it's nice to watch or listen to a movie while you are sunbathing.. and not watch commercials of other ships 3.Wish bingo was like at home where you played for many prizes and one game didn't cost 20.00 I loved my cruise though we will be back.. very relaxing!! For this overworked mom :-)
LemurCat Posted October 19, 2011 #164 Share Posted October 19, 2011 Easier said than done....believe me.I said 'never again' and a week later was hunting for a breeder.... a house isn't a home without an animal in it. I know that feeling. I had to put my sister's 22 year old kitty down right after Thanksgiving. The "no, no, no!" last about three days before she started having a nervous breakdown over not having a cat. Luckily, the local rescue was able to set her up with ease. thunderbaycruiser Posted October 19, 2011 #166 Share Posted October 19, 2011 It's always fun to read some of the responses in a thread like this: "Find another cruise line!" or "Don't complain, its not your personal yacht!" I know fruit punch is no longer served on Carnival, but somewhere the "kool-aid" is a flowin'!!! Personally, I think this thread is very constructive! Great place for Carnival / John Heald to get suggestions for improvement! We are on the Carnival board... most of us love Carnival... but we would all love Carnival even more with some improvements! I'll add my vote to those wishing they would turn down the volume a bit! Especially in the morning on the Lido deck and sometimes at the shows. Don't get me wrong, I like loud sometimes... but ear splittingly loud? Not so much! And loud as I recover from all of yesterday's FUN? Oy vey! ;)
lele100 Posted October 19, 2011 #167 Share Posted October 19, 2011 I wish Carnival would have past guest parties on the shorter cruises too. I also wish for hot foods on the room service menu. All inclusive drink pkg would be great.

hevuk Posted October 19, 2011 #169 Share Posted October 19, 2011 I hate the fact that the yummy food contains calories! You'd think that Carnival could figure out a way to remove them from my meals. I want a sugar free/fat free Bitter and Blanc;)
