Worst Carnival Comedians

Just recently got off the Splendor and saw two of the worst comedians I have ever seen - Lars Callieou and Stanley Ullman. Lars was the worse of the two and the crudest show I have ever seen. Bordered on pornographic. I am not easily offended but he definitely crossed the line. Has anyone else seen either of these two and have an opinion?

Unless it was during one of the early "family shows" , before each "R" rated or adult shows the host of the club makes it clear that if you are easily offended, get out before the show begins. (in fact, they usually say "get the f out".) Sorry

Have not seen these two but most of the comedians we have seen have been pretty good.

 

Is the show you are complaining about the R rated one? If so you have nothing to complain about.

 

If the family one that is a different story.

They are all bad, so how do you decide which is worse?

The last few we've seen have been pretty funny. We only go to the R shows. That said, I can't remember any of their names, so they weren't THAT great:rolleyes:;)

I have been to many R shows and am not easily offended. This was over the top and beyond R. No one was laughing.

Most of the comedians I have seen have been pretty good also. I always go to the late night comedy and I have heard a lot of stuff that is over the edge but still funny. Lars comedy was not R rated it was X rated and was not funny, just disgusting.

That he definitely was. I think he knew that so he just got cruder and cruder. Didn't help his problem.

Everyone's "line" is different. If my girlfriend and I hear the same song, watch the same movie and listen to the same polititian we will disagree all three. Difficult to judge something like a comedian based on one person's point of view.

Just throwing out a lot of crude works does not make a comedian funny..I go to most r-rated shows and if thats all they do I walk out and I'm not easily offended..Mutzie is my favorite one but they do need to change up there shows for the frequent cruisers..I saw one on the Triumph that I had not seen in a couple of years but she's still got the same old routine.....Dennis

On our last cruise the first two were ok but the last two were outstanding.

 

Lots of ad libbing so each show was different so we spent our evenings there.

 

Pet peeve of mine on Carnival is if you see a flyon a year later he is doing the exact same show.

 

Saw this on Miracle this year with ventriliquist and juggler doing same show in Jan and Sept so we walked out of both in Sept. Unfortunately no way to tell them why we walked out other than my comment to John via his blog which he acknowledged on fb.

I have only been on two cruises so far and have never been to the late "R" shows, only family allowed comedy shows. But, I have yet to see a funny one. I am hoping this changes in January on the Legend.

Mutzie is my fave as well. Not only is he funny, but very personable as well.

One of my favorites was Happy Cole. Both his family and his R rated shows were hilarious. I can't remember the names of the bad ones, but I sure have seen a few!

Honestly, after eight cruises, I seem to get Happy Cole every time. While he's funny, his material never changes, which makes it less interesting.

The comedians we have seen have all been good, especially the "R" rated ones. I can see how some could get offended, which is why they give a million warnings before the show even starts. But everyone's sense of humor & entertainment value is different....

I still love how people come on here and complain how rude and crude the R rated shows are.....thats kinda the point? They make it blatently clear that it's gonna be crass. Don't go into it expecting the Cosby Show.

My dh felt the same way and overheard other passengers also making comments. Some walked out which I should have done also.

I guess there is a talent in saying the same lines over and over again and still making them funny.

I am NOT complaining about how rude and crude the R rated shows are. I have been to many R rated shows that were rude and crude but still funny. I realize that is the point and know when I go there that that is what I will get. I listen to the warnings and choose to stay and most the these R rated shows have been funny. My point is that this particular comedian crossed the line. If I could tell you what he said you would understand where I am coming from but I would never repeat what he said.

Would think it would be rather boring to the performer to do the same exact act over and over and over.

 

If this is what they do for a living how hard could it be to add new material from time to time. After all they only do 30 minutes or so.

 

Listen to other comedians and steal their material if necessary.

I do not remember any names but we have actually seen some pretty good comedians on CCL.

I have been really surprised by the quality of the on-board comics.

We were on the Fascination in February of this year...and wouldn't you know it....the same comedian on Ecstasy in late Sept/Oct!! I think his name was Scotty K., he was all right, but we knew what to expect in his show as it was pretty much the same. I don't remember the others names, they were all "just okay" imo.:)
