TrinaLC Posted December 27, 2011 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2011 I understand that priority disembark is a suite perk - does it apply to ports of call, or just final disembarkation? If for ports of call, how does one go about taking advantage of this perk? Thanks - I tried searching, but couldn't narrow down.
ansmom Posted December 27, 2011 #2 Share Posted December 27, 2011 The concierge would help you, we didn't use it for ports of call but we overheard another couple asking and the concierge and she said it would be no problem just meet her at whatever time and she'd show them out. For disembarkation we met up with her and she took us down the staff elevator and we were out on our way, very simple.

Just ask your Concierge, they will arrange a meeting place and slip you off the ship before the others.
Laszlo Posted December 27, 2011 #4 Share Posted December 27, 2011 When we arrived back in NYC we had it. It was pretty nice, they had a buffet set up for us in the theater. We walked down about 7:45 am, had a bite to eat and were escorted off the ship about 8:00am.
jaja Posted December 27, 2011 #5 Share Posted December 27, 2011 We had our first suite last year..and my DH absolutely loved the perk of priority embarking/ disembarking (NYC)...I did also!!!..but it really is not like him to be so enthusiastic about something...! (he really hates "waiting" and "lines"...no patience for that ;))...

Vyhanek Posted December 27, 2011 #7 Share Posted December 27, 2011 It's an especially nice perk if the ship has to tender to port. Those tender wait times can be really long. If you are a suite guest you just go to the concierge when you are ready to go to port and he will escort you down thru a freight elevator right to the very front of the line. People will wait in the hallways and staircases for an hour waiting on their tender number to be called. You don't even have to navigate thru the people waiting. sassyredhat Posted December 27, 2011 #8 Share Posted December 27, 2011 We have a big family group booked for one of the new 2014 itineraries. It is our first NCL cruise, and we all have penthouses. This sounds awesome. I still have nightmares of the disembark from CCL's Splendor. :) Pat
Rare mizLORInj Posted December 28, 2011 #9 Share Posted December 28, 2011 The concierge will leave notes in your stateroom about where to meet/timing for priority debarkation at each port, and for the return port as well.

That is awesome. Usually there are a few family members that can not go for the full suites and are in a mini suite, etc that causes problems. Good for you! coachpete Posted December 30, 2011 #11 Share Posted December 30, 2011 Before 9/11 the ILA was the quickest way off the ship in NYC...... We were off before Customs even got set up.
