Amsterdam in Port Everglades today...

We're in for a treat today....seven ships, three of HAL's!

Looks like Zuiderdam may have increased her power. I see some exhaust. She may be first since she will not have to back out. We'll see in a short while.

I have a couple of questions about this webcam. I've only been watching it for about 4 days, so it is new to me (and now I am addicted).

 

Who is talking?

 

Sometimes I see it says "Sound 2" at the bottom. Other times, Sound 1, Sound 3, etc. What does that mean?

 

Is there a another website for Port Everglades where you hear other conversations?

It's just speculation, but they may turn the camera so that it is not pointing directly into the afternoon sun. By turning it down the canal/cut, it is not looking into the sun.

 

You are absolutely correct. Direct sun is not good for the camera.

Did you guys just hear that? At 4:40pm, there are 4 passengers just landing at the airport and two others unaccounted for. I can't imagine the stress of being this late for a world cruise!

Just refreshed the PEG Schedule page and shows now Statendam leaving at 5:15 pm instead of 5 pm.

 

So going to be Zuiderdam at 5 pm, Statendam at 5:15 and Amsterdam at 6 pm. (Sure hope those last 2 passengers get to the ship!!)

 

Going back to the web cam.

OK, Just checked PEG schedule and Zuiderdam is not leaving until 5:30 pm EST:(

 

All 3 are late today... Well maybe it is for the best for those 2 missing passengers.

We sailed Statendam Panama Canal just after she joined the fleet brand new :) and a number of times after.

I just got a nice look at Statendam's bell and some people on the bow.
