Bellair Posted January 11, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2012 During our recent crossing from Portugal to Fort lauderdale, the crew conducted a rare Emergency evacuation exercise inflating the life raft, utilising survival immersion suits etc. to the delight of hundreds of passengers. Considering the huge cost of re charging the life raft, it does'nt happen that often. Enjoy....
RMLincoln Posted January 11, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 11, 2012 Pretty interesting. Thanks for posting. We work with a volunteer fire department and do a lot of training. Often we are able to use equipment that is expiring for our training exercises. My guess is that the raft may have needed to be "cycled" but that's only a guess. Yes, training has costs, but not training has deeper costs. m-- PS See you on Maasdam! :)

Bellair Posted January 11, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted January 11, 2012 Many thanks indeed folks, I had not thought of the raft expiring for servicing. A great idea to utalise for public testing. Look for two with red eyes onboard after our long flight from OZ
