pascal1972 Posted January 20, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2012 DW and I are packing for our February 4th trip on the Oasis. This time we will have DD(6), DD(3) and DS(21 mo) along for the fun! Tonight while packing I explained to DW that we need to pack a little of each others stuff in each suitcase so we have diversity, she balked! Balked I say, she is telling me I mean Disperse. Please dear CCers help us out and tell me i'm right :D

bus man Posted January 20, 2012 #3 Share Posted January 20, 2012 You're both right. The action that you are doing is dispersing. (Distributing might be even better.) The result will be a diversity of items in each suitcase.

You need to disperse so that each suitcase will be diverse! :D
Cigar King Posted January 20, 2012 #5 Share Posted January 20, 2012 I always do this. If you do lose a piece of luggage at least everyone has some of their items. So far it's worked for us. I'm curious what the objection to the idea is?

Langley Cruisers Posted January 20, 2012 #8 Share Posted January 20, 2012 I'm curious what the objection to the idea is? Actually, it seems as though it's a matter of semantics; mom and daughter are using different words and she wants to know which is correct. My question: how does a 6 year old know the word "disperse"? I don't think mine did until much later.
