Princess charges $3 for pizza delivery. Nothing for all other things

Tipping a (USA) dollar or more is customary even if room service is "free". I have read the RCI charge was cut down the wasted food where people ordered it then went to sleep. Also the RCI charge includes the tip.

Norwegian Cruise Lines had also just implemented a room service charge for very late night deliveries.

Carnival is free mostly sandwiches. Menu is in the cabin. Just give the guy/girl a few bucks.

So far HAL has not charged a service fee for late night delivery of anything.

But some people do tip the person that delivers the food -- that is purely a personal thing.

Princess doesn't charge a delivery fee (except for pizzas) but does have some items on the menu with a charge. Just pay attention to the menu as it does have those listed on a separate page with the prices listed. It bums me out because my favorite bedtime snack is the cheese plate. I can get it free on all cruise lines but Princess. So, I don't order it while on Princess.

We sail HAL and have room service from time to time. We've never been charged a fee but always tip.

NCL charges for like RCCL does for late, late night service.

NCL also charges for pizza delivery, but they will deliver it anywhere on the ship (I hear).
