Sorry, but I don't believe they will. I think he gets his Platinum benefits on the first cruise that begins after he turns 18.

The others are correct: he must be 18 years old before the cruise. No benefits are ever implemented during a cruise regardless of age. I reached 150 days cruised two days into a 2-week cruise and I begged to get Elite benefits. No dice. :(

For some odd reason my daughter got her free minutes last year on the diamond, i logged on with her name dob etc and it listed 250 minutes, we have sailed since on the ruby and she got nothing. The answer is no, but give it a try and log in to see if it come up with a free package

If he's already Platinum, you can go to the Captain Circle Host and they can give him the free minutes. Our son was Platinum at 16 and we always got his benefits this way.

I'm 16 and I never get my free minutes and they refuse to recognise me as platinum on cruises (which is fair enough I guess since that is their rules). Same went for my brother when he was 17. So I think you will find the answer will be no :(

James, I want to commend you on your understanding of "rules". Instead of complaining about it, you accept it and move on. What a great attitude from someone who isn't into the "gimme" way of life. Enjoy your cruises!
