Hump Cabin

Recommended Posts

DH and I just booked our very first hump cabin on FOS for May, 2013. WE are very excited. Never been in a hump cabin. WE have read all kinds of threads on cruise critic about these cabins, so we had to try for ourselves. Is there any difference in them from a regular balcony?

Not on Freedom or Voyager class ships...but the location is SO convenient! Just steps from the elevator/stairway foyer.

It's only the Radiance Class that has the varying size balconies on the hump.

Not enough to notice. In most cases it's maybe 3-5 sq ft larger. The biggest benefit (we always do hump balconies on FOS) is that the hump juts out from the ship so you get a better view both forward and aft and you can get to the elevators and stairs without a long walk down the corridors.

We were in # 7332 on Liberty OTS last month - on the hump facing forward. There is extra room in the cabin - sort of a wedge shaped area between the curtain and the sliding door. When the curtain is open, it makes the cabin a little larger and it was also a great place for us to store DH's transport chair. All of the standard balconies were very generous in size - we loved our cabin.
