Rare rafinmd Posted August 12, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 12, 2012 The parade is about to start: Celebrity Summit 1600 from Bayonne NCL Gem 1600 (oops NCL Star) Veendam 1645 Disney Magic 1600 I believe Disney publishes "all aboard" rather than departure time, so I expect it will be close to the Veendam. My preferred webcam is the nyharbor cam, but if the Magic and Veendam are close together, it may be focused on the Magic much of the time. If so, the Statue of Liberty torch cam may be a better option. Roy
Krazy Kruizers Posted August 12, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 12, 2012 Would love to watch Irisheileen sail away this afternoon. But Sundays are bad for me -- have to start cooking dinner at that time. Bon Voyage Irisheileen!!

Rare kazu Posted August 12, 2012 #9 Share Posted August 12, 2012 I found one website - but I'm only seeing long distance views. Why I like the Port Everglades webcam so much more;)

PathfinderEss Posted August 12, 2012 #15 Share Posted August 12, 2012 Yeah, the Star should be coming in view of the NY Harbor webcam. She is just passing the Statue of Liberty cam now.
Rare rafinmd Posted August 12, 2012 Author #16 Share Posted August 12, 2012 This means we're saving the best for last. Unfortunately, it probably means it will be hidden by the Magic for most of the run. Roy
mamaofami Posted August 12, 2012 #17 Share Posted August 12, 2012 NY wired webcam which would show when Veendam pulls away from the pier is dated July 5th.

Roy Yeah, your probably right NY wired webcam which would show when Veendam pulls away from the pier is dated July 5th. innlady1 Posted August 12, 2012 #19 Share Posted August 12, 2012 Just remembered to sign on! So I missed the Summit yet again.... I wonder where Irisheileen will be waving from? Just she and DH or a group from the Roll Call?
Rare rafinmd Posted August 12, 2012 Author #20 Share Posted August 12, 2012 NY wired webcam which would show when Veendam pulls away from the pier is dated July 5th. All 4 NY Wired webcams seem to be stuck on July 4 and 5. It looks like the Intrepid webcam is also showing a static image. The docks are always empty and the sun always seems to be setting. Rare rafinmd Posted August 12, 2012 Author #22 Share Posted August 12, 2012 Veendam moving away from the pier at 1.1 kt. Looks like we should get 10-12 minutes of prime coverage as it approaches the bridge. Irisheileen seems to be the only one who's checked in. catl331 Posted August 12, 2012 #25 Share Posted August 12, 2012 Roy, where are you seeing Veendam pulling away?I don't think he's "seeing" the ship, just the symbol on the "satellite" view panel below the live webcam. That shows it heading downriver now at 9.5 knots.
