Royal Carribean Alcohol Drink Package Question

I did read somewhere that RCCL will look at each case individually as it arises, so if you have a case that is in writing that outlines why an individual would be exempt from being able to drink alcohol I suppose they would take this into consideration. This would proberly best best sorted with direction of issue to the Advocate at RCCL who are actually very considerate in their deliberations.

Cheers,

Hello all. We're so excited to go on our first cruise 2/23, Navigator of the Seas. We're thinking of the drink package for the convenience but can't find much info. How are you identified as drink pkg purchaser? Can you use your package at all the bars, clubs, wine bar, champagne bar, pool, room service or are you limited to where you use it? Still exploring the forum so if anyone can point me to the cost of drinks, wine, beer, that would help me. I did see that soda and water is $1.95. thanks a bunch

Your SeaPass card (room key and charge card) will identify you as a drink package purchaser. Here's the flyer with lots of answers:

can anyone tell me what the well call and premium cocktails are ???? thanks

A well drink is when you ask for a generic type of drink, such as scotch & soda, or rum & coke.

A call drink is when you ask for a specific brand, such as Jack & Coke, or Jameson & Ginger.

A Premium drink is call drink where the specific brand is off of their premium list.

I wish they would offer a package for say 100.00 that included a certain amount of

drinks for the week or even 200.00. I think the packages are way high in price and I would like to remember my vacation and not feel like I needed to get my monies worth

out of their current packages offered.

I love your idea! A package with a set number of drinks would allow guests to have a few drinks when they so choose without having to worry about feeling you wasted your money by pre-paying for drinks you aren't drinking.

The current package promotes that all-u-can drink mentality. Makes you feel like you need to drink consistently to make it worth the cost.

Hoping RC is reading these threads!

Thanks!!! This is the best info I have found on here regarding this. It's from a RCI PDF that is located here:

PDF of the information given by Merion Mom Thanks for submitting it - hopefully everyone questions have been answered - mine have!

Two reasons I don't want to do it - still need the soda package to work the freestyle machines. If soda is included, why only soda from the bar? Why not add on $5-$10 for the insulated cup? Also - I just found our bills from our last two cruises. If you add our wine package we still didn't spend the $55/pp plus gratuity a day. Hubby thinks the package will be worth it, but he'll still want to spend more for better wine at dinner. He can get it, and not me because he's booked in a separate room with our boys - so at least we both don't have to get it.

Are most of the beers on the ship $6.25 per bottle or less? I'm just wondering if the $6.25 will only be things like bud or miller or if some of the better beers will be available.

Yes, the vast majority of beers are $6.25 or less. I made a list of those more expensive than $6.25 for another thread a few days ago, and there were only 4 or 5 beers that were over $6.25. One I remember is Foster's Oil Can.

Any problems getting martinis?

Martinis were included in our package on the Jan 19th Brilliance sailing. Patron was excluded, but lots of other premium brands were available. No one in our group (of 70) complained about their brand being excluded. However, wine by the glass was very limited. There were four options - La Terre Chardonnay, Merlot and Carbernet, and Beringer White Zinfandel. There was also a 'house champagne' but I never figured out what is was. All other wine, by the glass or bottle, was excluded.

Not sure if I made or lost money on the package, but the convenience factor was pretty great. No slips to sign, just a quick swipe of the card. And for soft drinks, not even that. If they improve the wine options, I would definitely do it again.
