margeecruiser Posted December 29, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2012 Hi I finally decided to get some evening separates for our B2B cruise in 2013. We will on board 3weeks, with 5 formal nights. I have 1 new sequined top that looks great on me. But, I can't find chiffon black dressy pants. Where should I be looking? Thanks, Everyone
cb at sea Posted December 29, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 29, 2012 Try any department store that carries evening or "dressy" clothes. Macy's, Belk, Dillards, etc....(I don't know what stores you have in your area!)....but a large department store of medium to high end sales will have what you're looking for. You might also consider an evening chiffony-skirt!
ducklite Posted December 29, 2012 #3 Share Posted December 29, 2012 Nordstroms almost always has them. If not in stock then order on line.
royalcruz Posted December 29, 2012 #4 Share Posted December 29, 2012 Dillard's and Steinmart usually have them this time of year.
Silvery Seas Cruiser Posted December 29, 2012 #5 Share Posted December 29, 2012 I know for sure Dillards has them, but they come in only one color...black.
suezyq50 Posted December 30, 2012 #6 Share Posted December 30, 2012 I bought a pair at Dillard's last month. I bet they are on clearance after the New Year.
JDinWA Posted December 30, 2012 #7 Share Posted December 30, 2012 DressBarn.com has some lovely black palazzo pants, my mom got a pair for her next cruise. They're a flowy satiny fabric with a sheer chiffon overlayer.
Kilnwood Posted December 30, 2012 #8 Share Posted December 30, 2012 Have you tried eBay?
Swampbabe Posted December 30, 2012 #9 Share Posted December 30, 2012 Okay, so I gotta ask, why in the world are these called "carwash" pants? Inquiring minds want to know! :D
sail7seas Posted December 30, 2012 #10 Share Posted December 30, 2012 I got mine in Macy's. They always seem to have them. I actually prefer light crepe wide bottom evening pants without the chiffon overlay but I have worn the ones I got a few times and they worked nicely with my tops. ducklite Posted December 30, 2012 #11 Share Posted December 30, 2012 Okay, so I gotta ask, why in the world are these called "carwash" pants? Inquiring minds want to know! :D Because the "flaps" of chiffon that hang down resemble the flaps of fabric that clean your car in an automatic car wash. That's kinda what I thought but I wasn't sure :D Thanks!
