Well, I guess we learn something new about ourselves every day. According to some posters the ship is old fashioned and boring in it's decorating scheme. Then I guess I must not have any taste (although my friends and those who have visited our home would beg to differ) because every picture I see shows this ship to be stunning and elegant and I can't wait to see her in person. I think it's even more beautiful than the artists renderings we saw that caused us to book the TA to begin with. Thanks so much for the pics. I just want to walk right into them:):)

I just looked at the entire photo gallery at DreamBlogCruiseMagazine. Every time I think I can't get more excited about this trip, Dave adds something that amazes me even more.

Many thanks!

Is there a link or do I search on google. Can't seem to get enough.

One of the very first pictures I've seen of the fountain area being turned into a 'wet zone' for kids and passengers...

Dave,

Thanks for the photos and glad you are back. My voyage on the Royal starts two weeks from Wednesday!

Carole

Hi Carole!

Have a GREAT time on Royal Princess!!! :D Your cruise falls over my birthday so maybe you can have a Bellini for me? I'll probably be working that day.

Looking forward to your reviews and pictures after you return! :D

Thanks Dave for those wonderful pictures of the Royal. What a beautiful ship. Also welcome back. I will be on that beautiful ship July 5 with my family and can't wait for the experience for 12 days. I am so anxious to get going. Thanks a million Trudy:)

Hi Trudy!

Your wait is almost over! :D Have a wonderful time and take lots of pictures for all of us who are waiting our turn. We will look forward to your 'family perspective' of the offerings in Royal Princess. :D

Thanks for the new photos Dave, all of them reinforce how classy and beautiful this ship is, far more beautiful than any other Princess ship. Please don't stop posting new photos that you find. ;)

Although some like the familiarity of the interior decor common to most of the Princess Cruises fleet this new ambiance and feel is indeed far more elegant and upscale. As Bentley5700 said it is one 'classy boat'! ;)

I agree that it looks like a great place to relax and have a drink if one is lucky enough to find a seat. On a warm day, lots of folks will probably have the same idea.

On a warm day a lot of people may also flock to the expanded atrium with all of the many enhanced venues, to Princess Live! for an enrichment lecture, cooking demonstration, trivia contest, or game show, to the Princess Theater for a feature movie, to the Vista Lounge for bingo or photography lessons, to their staterooms for one of the hundreds of free movies and TV shows, take the Art and Architecture Tour, go to the Spa for a day-long treatment or use the Thermal Suite, enjoy a Super Tuscan Wine tasting at Sabatini's, spend some time in the Fitness Center working off all those goodies from The Pastry Shop, relaxing on the Lido Deck under the extended Sun Deck overhang while enjoying munchies from the Trident Grill, Prego pizzeria, or Swirls, stroll along the cafe and shops on promenade deck, or hit the casino. Lots of options for everyone. :D

Hi, Dave,

Renmar has a thread called Poll: obstructed view balcony, and he has asked for folks to send him pics of the Royal's obstructed balcony photos. I remember you'd posted one sometime back . . .

Thx,

Sue

Here's a nice article with photos of the various staterooms this reviewer visited on the Royal Princess. There's a video as well.

Thank you TorontoTL - these are the first really good pictures I've seen of the owners suite balcony (wonder if BrooklynRussians have seen them:D). My only disappointment (but I won't be canceling my reservation over it or noting it on one of the whining threads :p) is that the dining table is too small. Aft suite balconies on other Princess ships have a 4 person table - good for entertaining guests and enough space for an MDR dinner if served in the suite (all the courses are brought at once). I guess my brother and sister in law will just have to stand up!

HI Dave,

I intend to try to do some live posting and answer people's inquiries about the ship, but have read that internet is very slow so it could be a problem...I have my free block of Platinum internet minutes but can't use them all up on posting from the ship!

I am also celebrating my birthday while on board...July 19...what day is yours? Cheers! :D

Hi Carole,

Don't tell anyone (just between you and me, of course;)) but my birthday is July 20th. It will be #54 or #55 for me, I lost count years ago.

And no worries about eating up all your minutes. If the internet speed happens to get better then great, but we can also wait until you get back if it gets to be too bad. You also have a busy itinerary with lots of late port days so enjoy the cruise first and foremost!

:D

Yes, I noticed that too, but he did such a lovely job with the photos and the video tour, that I didn't want to mention it.;)

Does anyone know the dimensions for the Premium Deluxe Balcony on Riviera Deck R735 or R734? Princess website only gives 312 sq ft as a total.

The other 2 Premium Deluxe Balconies R733 and R732 measure 199 sq ft cabin and the balcony 81 sq ft total of 280 sq ft.

What about Baja deck? We have. B733 and Princess says it is 307 Sq ft. Do you think the balcony is larger, can't tell from pics posted of the exterior, any info would be appreciated

I know I'm in the minority here but has anyone seen pictures of the inside cabins for the Royal? We booked a balcony on our first Princess cruise but only used it for a short time each day. Our next four Princess cruises were inside cabins and we had a great time on each cruise. If we wanted to to be outside we would go on the Promanade deck.

This is the first time that I am gonna on the cruise. I accompanied with my mother and her friend for this experience. I am told with so many negative warnings from friends that kinda hold me up.

We are going sailing on the "Royal Princess" on August 22nd from Venice to Barcelona. Can you please kindly advises:

1) we would like to spend a night at Venice and Barcelona. Where should we stay?

2) excursions.... It looks so expensive to join the excursion via Princess. But my friends told me to stick with them for safety reasons. Should I do that? Or any other suggestions? It will be really expensive to go on all, what will be the ports that I should not missed?

3) I am kinda nervous myself for this trip, especially with two ladies who doesn't speak the language.. anything I should be more cautious?

Thanks a million!

NYH.:)
