Do you think they read this board

Do you think Carnival reads this board ? With all of the negative things everyone seems to be saying about the Breeze wouldn't you think they would be trying to change some things . I know this is a new ship but bad entertainment has nothing to do with that . We are going on the Breeze Feb24 and I can say I will really miss the live music. We are not big fans of game shows and don't really call that entertainment I know We will still have a great time because we always do but not so sure I like the changes. Carnival LISTEN to what your passengers are saying

Carnival has two people reading these boards. Have not seen this Hasbro thing myself but if the only way to get chosen to play is you must act like a moron not for me and would get bored watching others play.

They are trending toward less and less professional entertainment.

The people that don't like the changes appear to be in the minority and many of them continue to sail with CCL in spite of the complaints. Bottom line is that as long as CCL is still selling the cabins at an acceptable rate they are unlikely to change because of what a few people have to say on an Internet forum.

We did see the Hasbro thing, and yes, you really have to act crazy to be chosen to play. It was somewhat entertaining, but I sure would have preferred a comedian, or a juggler over Hasbro. Is Hasbro something I want to see on every Carnival ship I go on now? No, not really. We went on the Breeze because it was new to us. So, been there, done that.

The (lack of) entertainment won't stop us from booking with Carnival again, but we are more likely to book with another line than we were in the past. Main reason? Because Carnival no longer offers the Future Cruise Certificate, instead you will get OBC if you BOOK another cruise while on the ship. To us, that is the biggest disappointment! We don't always know, or are ready, to book while on current vacation! At least with the FCC, we had 2 years to decide!

I think that Carnival has a few folk reading our threads. So remember this-if you are going to complain about something-come up with a valid alternative. Of course if it is service and you want to commend or complain-it is best to remember the name of the person of which you are complaining or commending.

I have a better one for you! I was actually ready to book my next Christmas cruise while on Breeze for this Christmas - but I couldn't get "an appointment" to do so. Yes, I waited until the last 2 days to decide, but every time slot was filled to meet with the cruise specialist at the future cruise desk, and they wouldn't take walkups!! THAT got my annoyed! If they are going to only give obc for booking a cruise on board, at least have 2 or more people taking booking!

UMM, yeah. Wow. They wouldn't take your money. Not a smart decision on their part.

Also not happy about no more FCC. Really dont want to book a cruise while on a cruise would rather go home and decide what to do next.

Also a number of ships are having love and marriage as an evening entertainment. After awhile with same questions all the times gets rather boring. Even worse to have this on a night the piano bar singer is off.

We are platinum and will be trying other cruise lines later this year.

With all of the "New and Improved" Carnival things we decided to no longer cruise Carnival exclusively. Loved the FCC's and they had a great impact on us not booking with other lines.

Now after the Breeze last month and the lack of entertainment I am glad we chose to due our third leg of our b2b2b on the Caribbean Princess. We found what Carnival has gotten rid of on Princess and had one of the best cruises we have had in years. Oh and it was the same price as Carnival.

Needless to say, I am now looking at all cruise lines when looking to book a cruise.

I agree with this.

I also do not want to book on board.

Our lives are a bit too complex to plan things too far in advance.

I don't consider a game to be evening entertainment either.

DH and I are also platinum and I have been watching the Royal and Norwegian cruises out of New Orleans.

They have had some really good prices lately!

They certainly do.

And then they do something quite odd. They actually ridicule their customers who post things in a negative light on their blogs and Facebook pages.

It's a little disturbing.

We are doing B2B on Carnival Freedom starting in a few days. After we see what all the cutbacks are (since Jan. 2012), we'll decide if we want to book on board. I already have our next cruise (or cruises) picked up so if we're still satisfied, I'll set up the appt. for early in our 2nd cruise.

My SO doesn't really go to the shows or listen to the live bands so he'll probably be fine with it. He spends lots of his free time in the Casino. I do like to go to the shows to keep me out of the Casino. This way I limit my time in the Casino.

Talk about people getting angry over FCC, On the Breeze these people were shouting obscenities and red faced. I knew ab:rolleyes:ut the exciting change before hand.

I really was a bad scene for those customers that did not about the

" Brillant " change.

I've been reading the boards trying to catch any others comments.

I'm also doing another cruise line in the fall of this year. I had a really interesting chat with CD Corey on my October Miracle cruise. He was substituting for injured Malcolm & he (very kindly) came to one of our Roll Call events.

I didn't COMPLAIN to him, I was actually very nice about it...but casually mentioned that I really missed the band on Lido and, further, really disliked the hip-hop that was blaring all over the ship. I asked him why Carnival had decided to go this route. His answer: "Because research showed that passengers liked it." Really?

I think they have become clueless. I'm a solo cruiser, always book either an OS or a high end balcony, spend alot in the casino, spend alot at the bars, always go to the steakhouse at least once (often twice), have a fairly substantial S&S balance at cruise-end....and they are about to lose a platinum cruiser. Oh...and between my October cruise & November cruise I purchased $3600 worth of art. But those I love!

Yes they do read these boards. So......

Carnival - I am another person that really misses the FCC. I have been thru lots of changes with you and had continued to cruise you more than other lines but since there are no more FCC I have started cruising other lines more than Carnival also.

For us, the only reason we cruise Carnival is because of the price.

I would rather do 1 every year on Carnival than ever other year on RCI.

That's how we always felt....we like to try to do two a year, but we also live in FL and don't have high travel costs to get to the ports.

But there are other cruise lines that are competitive with Carnival now. I know RCI and Disney are high, but we were pleasantly surprised when we started checking some other lines.

Example: We wanted to visit Aruba, and other places in that region. Because of DH's work, we have to go in Dec., April/May, or July. Carnival's offering was the Christmas cruise, at a jacked-up rate. Princess had a couple that were acceptable, RCI also, but it also meant we had to take a low category inside cabin for either of those lines. I decided to check Norwegian (have never even considered them, don't know why!) and we were able to get a balcony for an 11 day cruise for about the same rates as Princess and RCI inside cabin! Yep, I booked it! And I can't wait to see the differences between Carnival and NCL.

Not saying we won't cruise Carnival again...we will, actually going on Carnival late April....but not exclusively anymore. I don't have an FCC to use now, and now I know there are other alternatives that aren't horribly expensive.
