That is a very strange looking thing. I've never heard of one....and he has funny ears. :)

Oh! It's an agouti, I thought they looked more like guinea pigs: http://www.flickr.com/photos/africats/4376388532/

Apparently Morrow is the governor's name.;)

Locals constantly called it a Morrow. Guess that's a hint eh? Now that you post it, I recall the agouti name. Been a while since I ran across that.

I work on the Vision and gotta say its great to see the positive feedback and know we are doing a good job.

I didn't think RCI let the crew post on CC? Don't get in trouble if that's the case JaminUK. But yes, everybody I encountered in the crew was just great!

On to St Vincent friends. Even a short port day turns out to be a good one!

This was the only stop where we booked a tour through the ship. At the last minute no less as I booked it while we were on board. The Pirates of the Caribbean Sail and Snorkel was the name of said tour. It turned out to be fun, not too serious and at least got us a good look along the western coast of the island.

Our guide for the day- A most goofy scalawag by the name of "Sherlock".

Lion's Head Point.... Should be fairly obvious where the name came from. :)

Now of course we're at St Vincent and the tour is titled "Pirates of the Caribbean".. So part of this tour is to go wander by the place that was used in the movie to depict Port Royal. Welcome to Hollywood, please suspend reality at the door. But that's ok, it is a fun series of movies after all.

Remember two "zombie" pirates in dresses getting into a fight? This is where that scene was shot. Cover the space behind the rocks to make a cave and shoot a night scene.. Voila! You got it...

And this is what's left of the Port Royal set dock. Pity somebody didn't get a scoop on the location and make something more with the movie set. Could have been a very amusing (and potentially profitable) project. Now the set is disintegrating and will be gone in a few more years.

A few of the set building have been turned to some other purpose, but we didn't go ashore here to get a close look. That was ok with me. This was a short port day after all.

After leaving the somewhat depressing view of the old set, we then went over to a very nice black sand beach for some swimming and snorkeling time.

Heading back to Kingstown (not Kingston, that's Jamaica), the weather remained much as it had throughout the cruise. Wonderful!

I'm pulling an all nighter at my job tonight compliments of the nasty weather getting dumped on us. So everybody stay warm and I'll get back to post Bonaire, Aruba, and wrap up details as soon as I can!

Hi Dave & Jolene,

Enjoying reliving our cruise with your review and photos, glad we were able to share some of the excursions with you all. I just got my photos off my camera today, it's been crazy busy since we got home...

Keep 'em comin' :)

Dave & Debi

If you post them anywhere, do share! :D

Excellent review, excellent pictures! We had such a great time on our Vision cruise in December, now I wanna do the 11 night itinerary!

Thanks for the plug Grady! This was the cruise to break the 7 night barrier. Worth every minute too. I hated getting off just as badly as I hate getting off after a 7 day

I've been trapped at work or in a hotel room since my last post compliments of a temper tantrum from Jack Frost. Needless to say, the hotel wifi wasn't up to the job of doing any photo uploads from my laptop. So when I get home (finally!) I'll get the last pictures on their way to Flickr before calling it a night.

There's no turning back :)

Been following yours and others' reviews as we're doing the April transatlantic so keep the ship pics coming !

Thanks for the encouragement!

Regrettably budgetary concerns will put us back to a week for next year's trip, but we get to skip flying so there's good things too.

I have my pictures uploaded and a little time before I have to get busy at work. Let's see what I can do before my desk phone starts ringing. :)

Our next to last stop was Bonaire. It was our second short port day, so our plan for here was simply to walk around and do some shopping.

We discovered that we were there on a "break" day between two holidays so most of the shops were actually closed. There were enough open to still spend a little money though.

A look one way...

The open air market near the pier was open. Not badly priced and some interesting things here and there. Fans of handcrafted jewelry will have great fun here. That was the major item in this market.

It was rather interesting to watch this bulk freighter (Mostein) unload... Three scoops and the truck was full.

On to our last stop, Aruba. Like Bonaire, we opted to just wander today. We'd been fairly active for four straight ports so having the last two to just kick back and snoop around was a good break.

We did come to a conclusion about Aruba, it's the shopping mall of the south Caribbean much like Cozumel is the mall for the west. Oddly, we also found that most of the various vendors were selling the very same things. There were some exceptions, but after you see the same t-shirt design in 5 different locations you start to wonder.

The next time we come by this island, we'll get out and do something other than shop and wander.

Our neighbor in port... My friends KeywestK and her hubby were on board. We caught up for a few minutes in town.

Seriously we will need to go explore more on both Bonaire and Aruba, but I can say that on both islands we found people to be mostly cheerful and outgoing. Shopping prices were not bad. No complaints to speak of.

So to start a wrap up (and maybe actually finish it), this was an awesome trip. Vision's crew did a great job and those that are mentioned did and outstanding job by any standards. But like any cruise, unless you are Super Mario, it comes to an end, thereby causing another case of PCD.

If anyone has a question to ask or wonders about something I might have seen but didn't post about, feel free to ask. Won't bother me one bit to answer. :)

With that, I have some random pictures from here and there. Some final shots from aboard Vision and a hope that everyone has enjoyed this review.

I'm not going to caption these last ones at all. I'll let you draw your own impressions....
