I think you are refering to Princess Aus being set up as a profit centre,

 

and Princess UK getting more freedom, from parent. more of its own identity but could lead to better service

 

 

not sure this would lead to a de merger

There are quite a few divergent spellings.

 

Program versus programme

center versus centre

while versus whilst

meter versus metre

and so on ...

 

If you really want to tease our English brethren, point out that their versions look more "French" than ours. This won't bother the Scots much though as the French took sides with the Scots versus the English more often than not.
