Tipping in AQ

We are first time Celebrity cruisers in Aqua Class.

I was just wondering if we should tip the butler each time he brings the daily canapes into the cabin(provided we are present)?

If so,how much is appropriate?Thanks.

No, you do not need to tip the stateroom attendant or the deliver person who brings the afternoon canapes -- that is included in the regular daily gratuity. And just so you know, he won't be a Butler, per se. That is reserved for Suites, not Aqua Class.

Aqua Class doesn't have butlers, so your daily tidbits will be brought by your cabin steward. If you want, you could give him/her a few dollars extra at the end of the cruise, but it's not necessary.

OP might be in an AQ Suite. Your advice is correct whether Butler or not.

It does not have Aqua Class suites, only the Reflection has them, therefore they will not have a Butler.

Now I'm confused;are there different categories of Aqua Class?

Infinity has two categories:A1 and A2.

Are there more on other ships?

Never mind.I just looked up Reflection and now I see what an Aqua Suite is.

Thanks everybody for your replies.

Reflection has added AQ Suites. The only difference between A1 and A2 is location. A1s are considered to be better located. Some of the A1s are the "hump" cabins. At one time there was only one class of AQ, but Celebrity noticed that some locations were being booked first so they raised the prices on these and called them A1. The same thing happened with the Concierge cabins. At one time only Concierge, now C1,C2 and C3.
