For the sunscreen application that is!!

jagsfan Posted August 7, 2013 #203 Share Posted August 7, 2013 We had been in our cabin for ten minutes because we had to walk through four decks to find it. I don't know why they don't put the numbers in order. Every one my husband looked at was an odd number, every one I saw was even. What a mishmash. There was a knock on the door and a guy who said his name was Stewart told us we had to go to a mustard drill. I don't even like mustard, so I said no thank you. He then said we had to. Now my husband and I have been on many many cruises all over the world and have never been told we had to eat mustard. I can see why so many people have come on this nice web site to protest their bad treatment!!!!

Rare MicCanberra Posted August 7, 2013 #205 Share Posted August 7, 2013 The ships are designed with really weird features. The casino takes chips not money but you can only get fries from the grill. The main lounge only has tub chairs and no lounges. The Sunset Bar only has a sunset each day for around 1/2 an hour tops. The passport bar doesn't require a passport for service but does require your keycard. The list is endless.:D
Gig103 Posted August 7, 2013 #206 Share Posted August 7, 2013 . The Sunset Bar only has a sunset each day for around 1/2 an hour tops. I'm calling the Better Business Bureau for false advertising on the Sunset Deck! Meanwhile, they feed us rich food all week, but you use the Poop Deck just once and they get all on your case.

Rare MicCanberra Posted August 7, 2013 #208 Share Posted August 7, 2013 Another piece of false advertising is the gift shop, why call it the gift shop if you have to buy the products.
fleckle Posted August 7, 2013 #209 Share Posted August 7, 2013 When they came out with the newer S-class ships, we were really hoping that they would use better quality building materials to correct the ongoing problems of the closets and drawers that we always encountered on the M-class ships. But no, they obviously cut corners and used the same inferior, defective materials because the newer ships also shrink our clothing, just as the older ships do. wineoclock Posted August 7, 2013 #211 Share Posted August 7, 2013 I'm seriously considering emailing micheal bayley about their defective weighing scales. They start off weighing perfectly but by the end of the cruise they are out by at least 3-5kg upwards. I mean seriously why are they not serviced mid cruise. Huh. Onessa Posted August 7, 2013 #212 Share Posted August 7, 2013 Why do the cruise lines insist on forcing us to participate in a Mustard Drill at the start of each cruise? I have been putting mustrad on my food for over 50 years and do not need to attend such a drill, much less sit through a video which has absolutely nothing to do with mustard. While on the subject, why are we assigned to a specific Mustard Station. Is it too much to ask that we be able to find all of our condiments in one place at the buffet? Well I've never been served any mustard on any cruise that could drill through anything. I put it on top of my hot dog bun and the mustard couldn't even drill through the soft bun to my hot dog! Rare MicCanberra Posted August 7, 2013 #213 Share Posted August 7, 2013 (edited) Another bug bear is they offer wine tasting in Reidel glasses (to show how much better the wine tastes) and then they have the nerve to pour you wine in ordinary sub par glasses for the rest of the cruise. Edited August 7, 2013 by MicCanberra
drfun48 Posted August 7, 2013 Author #214 Share Posted August 7, 2013 Here's the topper,if your wife, husband,or significant other dies during the cruise, there is no pro-rated refund for days and meals missed and the automatic tipping is still charged the full amount. Cold and heartless I say.

bbeltmom Posted August 8, 2013 #219 Share Posted August 8, 2013 My peeve is that while I'm busy reading on the deck the waiter has to interrupt my book to ask me if I would like a beverage and then I have to wait for him to get back with it! He should just bring me the beverage that I want in the first place and stop interrupting my reading time. The nerve!! (That having been said - I waited all day yesterday by my backyard pool for someone to even offer me a beverage and no one did . Can't wait for January!:))
Fredsdaughter Posted August 8, 2013 #220 Share Posted August 8, 2013 Love the "Poop Deck" comment. Really Lmao! My worst complaint involves the other passengers ( and crew) who don't seem to realize that it is all about me and my comfort. Several pool lounges should be set aside for me until I decide where I want to sit, same thing for the theater. When I go to the bar I should not have to wait until the people ahead of me are served. They should step aside so that I can be served immediately. Think I will write to guest services.

mrsdoc3 Posted August 8, 2013 #224 Share Posted August 8, 2013 Thats so funny, I totally agree!! And the having to think about WHAT we will make to eat? and then having to actually go and buy the stuff and cook it ourselves! Torture! This actually does really happen to me, I get home and go into shock for a few days! Actually, after a week on a cruise, I don't really need to eat for a couple of days.
