I noticed you said the Italian Restaurant was booked every night until the last night. Is it possible to book it before you cruise or do you have to wait until you are on board to make a reservation.

I am pretty sure you can email them ahead to get reservations.....but if you book when you get on it should be okay too....we waited till the second night to try and book it

My favorite drinking/food place was the Red Frog Pub on deck 5. Best addition to the ship in my opinion. Thirsty Frog Red is great beer....very filling and strong. The appetizers in the pub were really good and worth the 3.33 each...Conch Fritters were my favorite with the wings a close second. The outside area at the pub is really nice with a hot tub just 15 to 20 feet away.....nice peaceful hot tub. For Your Time Dining i think Carnival finally has it figured out as it went flawless...never waited for a table....waiter service was great...and food was always hot or at least warm....never cold. So out of all the food venues the only lines were at Jimmy's Seaside BBQ or the buffet after Grand Turk i believe. Biggest lines i had at Guys...Pizza or buffet were 6 people in front of me! Casino was nice and between my wife and i we won over a thousand with her the big winner on the Goldfish slots! Only went to one show cause i heard they were bad.....Beatles show was good....Hasbro the Game Show was fun. I was disappointed as i wanted to do the 4D Thrill Theatre but never got there :( Waterslides were the first i ever made it down with Carnival without pushing all the way....i flew in them with Twister being my favorite.....Water Works is alot of fun. Now for my only complaints for the whole cruise....#1 Matresses are hard and horrible so don't tell me they are still using the same ones John Heald. #2 Ship still has sewage odor on aft decks outside at the very least.....did it ruin it for me ...no i just avoided it. #3 or maybe this should be #1.....they play alot of crappy club music instead of Carribean type music...We are on a ship not in downtown Cuban section of Miami......please go back to nice carribean music.....example...Jimmy Buffet....Zac Brown....Kenny Chesney...Bob Marley! They seem to be trying to attract 16 to 21 year olds :( With the FTTF i was off the ship by 7:30

Your right about the mattress, John heald lies about that and lots of other things.

What about the water park, how busy was it on sea days? Did you wait a long time to use the slides? How about the movie theater, is it worth the money?

The water park wasn't too bad.......the times i used it were sea days and lines were at most 15 people long. Just be aware that each slide (Twister and Drainpipe) has the same stairs but color coded to left or right side of stairs as to which one your going to ride....so twister could be long and you can pass everyone on the left side to ride the Drainpipe! My wife and son watched "Guilt Trip on deck and i never made the Thrill 4d Theater :( but it was about 7.95 for one show or 14.95 for unlimited viewings. Im really mad i missed it. They had several different 15 minute showings including a roller coaster ride.By the way i did see longer lines later in the day on the waterslides....maybe 30 people in line....its so much fun

Ummmm, Zac Brown and Kenny Chesney are from Georgia and Tennessee respectively, how is that Caribbean music???? Truth be told, it's not just 16-21 year olds who like club music... Personally i don't like it, but I doubt Iron Maiden and Alice Cooper would be a big crowd pleaser either. There are a lot of artists who are FROM the Caribbean that make..... CLUB MUSIC. I have friends and family members in my age group (35-40) who are happy listening to Club beats all day... Lots of Hip Hop Djs from Antigua, Bahamas, Jamaica... Would I love it? no. But I'd prefer an afternoon of Wyclef Jean (born in Haiti) to any Kenny Chesney song.

If you listen to country music you would know alot of their music is about the carribean......and i never said i wanted Iron Maiden...just keep the club music in the clubs where it belongs. Go to any thread on here about what cruise music do you have on your ipod and i bet 9 out of 10 have a Zac Brown song ;) P.S. im 55 and love all kinds of music....but hence the name (Club Music) keep it in the clubs!

I must admit that I also didn't consider some of the artists as "caribbean" (not even Bob Marley, whom I considered as reggae) but I get what you're saying. Not really a Chesney fan but I have read that he records a lot of his music from his studio in the caribbean (or was it another artist?).....ummm who is Zac Brown? LOL! Anyway, we loved the Breeze.

Yes Kenny has a home in St. Thomas or St. Kitts.....i forget which but even Toby Keith has Carribean songs......yes i would take no Carribean country music for steel drum music but im glad you understand what i meant :) Even the female guitar player who was great playing all around the ship played country music. All music types has its places on the ship but not on the lido deck please. And for people that like club music...i like classic rock but don't want that on the lido deck either.....i want music to fit the carribean on a carribean cruise. Yes my favorite spot was that rocker type chair/table outside the Red Frog Pub. Awesome ship!

Welcome back. Nice review. We loved the Breeze as well. Thoungt the same about the beds. Also agree that Red Frog (and maybe Guys) is the best addition by Carnival in a long time. The new interiors are refreshing. Thanks for bringing me back to our April cruise on the Breeze.

We are a fixture there everytime we sail a ship with one. Returned from the Splendor last month. Had an opportunity to discuss with a couple of CArnival VP's (for a group fund raiser we will be doing) and told them to convert the Club 02 on the Splendor to a Red Frog NOW. They laughed and thought I was joking. Enjoy the Elation, let us know your thoughts when you return. We got invited to a sleepover on the Sunshine when she comes over from Europe. Can't wait to see her.

I never said YOU wanted Iron Maiden. I inferred that I wanted it! I've listened to Zac Brown and Kenny Chesney, just don't like them. Give me Van Halen singing "Panama" if that counts as Caribbean music! I am a musician who works in a music store, been playing guitar for 25 years. :) As for whats on my ipod, it's comics that are NOT family friendly (Jim Norton, Otto and George, Patrice Oneal), and bands like Bad Religion, Dead Kennedys and Foo Fighters... My point was towards the fact that a lot of club music, and DJ music uses Caribbean artists and Caribbean rhythms, and is a lot more "Islands music" than anything else being done right now. It's not my favorite, and i realize some people want to hear "Cheeseburger in Paradise" on a loop, but Carnival will use music that works for their target demographic. and i believe they are targeting "under 30, no kids, party type" people... people in that group seem to have disposable incomes, unlike me.

Whether anyone wants to admit it or not, Club Music IS current Caribbean music. I would prefer some steel drums or classic Reggae, but SOCA is the big music push from the Caribbean, has been for the last 20 years.

:)

Funny you mention that....Club O2 was used only once or twice the whole cruise....what a waste of space....i will post my thoughts on the Elation when i return.

On a excursion we did promising a fun open aired bus with maracas turned into spanish club music after a group of loud spanish speaking people started yelling songs in Spanish to the driver....the excursion turned into a crappy music nightmare for the most of us......i agree they are targeting under 30 aged people who have no life but to work to party with no plans for their futures...very sad.....Panama is still too much like rock to play......steel drums all the way for me.....they just put a Bahama Breeze Resaurant in by us and they even have a steel drum guy play their deck most weekends....Carnival should wakeup!

In regards to the barefoot people, I did not notice it being one group of couple. It was across the board.

Also, I noticed there to be more kids too. At night, kids would run and scream on our floor. I never remember that from prior cruises.
