Thank you.

So, if I purchase the $500, for instance, I can use the $500 once onboard towards purchasing the UBP, soda package for kids, etc. Is this correct?

I cannot use it prior to boarding.

Thank you.

HI ALL... I spoke with CAS today about using the gift card in the casino....they said no.....only way was to have casino charges charged to you onboard account, and then using the gift card to pay some of you onboard expenses....but you could not present the card to the casino for chips/etc, I was interested in using it for my casino money....

just thought would pass this on....jus' me.....jim

Thank you.

So it is correct that if I purchase the $500 card, I can go to Guest Services and put towards my charges.

It doesn't say anything about purchasing multiple cards and having multiple cards used towards purchases on the ship.

Thank you very much for this information.

I have a cruise booked that I have only paid the deposit on. Could I purchase the $500 gift card and use it to pay on the crusie?

Just went to the website and it said for new reservations so I guess that would not apply to the one I have booked.

Thank you for sharing. I just left a message for my PCC to ask if this can be combined with a Future Cruise Credit on a new reservation. We are looking at booking in the next few weeks so this would be nice. Who couldnt use some free money

I will let you know what she says

Just purchased (2) $500.00 cards. I am being told by my "man" at NCL that I will be able to use (1) towards my final payment and the other will pay for my Spa package and my drink package. I don't really watch HSn but I'm sure I could find $200.00 worth of Christmas presents! Thank you so much.

Side note when buying HSN promos. They will give you a new Latitudes number . Just something to make note of . ;)

Have you bought one and received a new Latitudes number or just heard of this? Have you tried to use a gift card and found it difficult to book under your original Latitudes number?

I really want to buy one but at this point, I do not want to start over in my points either

Its not a case of starting over . You keep your old points but they list you with a new lat. number like you are a first time cruiser . So when NCL see's that you have more than one , they will Merge them . So , New number . I have had the same number for many a moon and like to keep it since its listed on so many Docs. . Just something to keep in mind if you want to keep your original number. After an HSN deal , this is what happened and it was a pain to restore. So when buying the promo tell them you have a lat number..

Sorry for the over kill ;)

Thank you. So you can use towards final payment? I may call NCCL tomorrow and see if there is a limit how many can be applied towards final payment. With Six people in the Haven on BA in August perhaps purchasing quite a few $500 gift cards would give quite a few "free" HSN money. Thanks.

I was told you can only use 1 toward final payment. But call and see what they tell you. It seems you can get 3 different answer if you speak with 3 different people. :p

My PCC did not return my call yesterday but I did put in a call to the basic customer service number. I manged to get out of the lady that you can combine a Future Cruise Reward and a gift card when you make your initial payment. I did not get much further in the conversation as the phone line was so bad I could barley hear her.

Ok, I got mine !!! After reading the terms and conditions, I realized that if the card is not active for 13 months, they will start to charge you $3.00 per month until you use it again and then the 13 months starts over again. Since my next cruise is not with in that time frame, I decided that 1 would do for now.

Just thought I would let everyone know about the fees

Did anyone else have it go to charge tax? I am in NY and had to call my order in because when I got to the complete purchase page it went to charge me over $167 in tax on (4) $500.00 cards. I called the order in instead.

I tried ordering 2 of the $500 cards on the HSN website, and it came up with $50 tax here in Maine (5%)

I haven't called yet.

Has anyone tried to use more than 1 card towards final payment? On http://www5.ncl.com/giftcard/faq it states

Q: How are Gift Cards redeemed?

A: Gift Cards can be used in the same manner as a credit card for purchases made online, in-person, or over the phone to Norwegian or a travel professional, or in-person for onboard expenses. A customer can use up to 3 Gift Cards in one transaction.
