Whilst on Arcadia recently was told that Aurora would be having a refit Dec 14.

As have already booked for its Christmas trip to the Canary Isles wondered if it was true.

Was on her Nov 12 and looked tired in places

We were on her all of September and she was fine, what have you done to her.

I did say in places and still prefer Arcadia

I was on her in January, and she definitely needed sprucing up. I'm glad to see that it'll happen before my next cruise on her.

I have to say I have not heard anything about Aurora going for a refit although Arcadia is going to have one at about that time. Is that where the confusion has come.

She is supposed to be going in for a refit around December 2014. That's when it's rumoured that the library will go and a new pay restaurant takes it's place.

And we get on the 21st BUT there does not appear anything scheduled between Dec 2nd to the 14th

something is happening in the casino area too - overheard while waiting for disembarkation on 17th

"this wall will come down, and the slots there are going" ... something something "sports bar"

- as she gestured to the curving wall between the casino and the walk way (where the spiral stairs to Cafe Bordeaux are).

 

"She" was a staff member showing someone (apparently new staff member) around - but don't know if either were employed ship or shore side.

 

So it will interesting to hear what they actually do intend to do

So she is going in for a refit this year, and will be the first to have the new livery

What dates is Aurora in for her re-fit ?

 

I`m due on her for the first time on Saturday 29th November 2014 for 4 nights coming off on Wednesday 3rd December 2014

Aurora disembarks passengers on Wednesday 3rd December 2014 and next embarks passengers on Friday 19th December 2014. Josy1953 - there isn't a cruise during this time. Not sure how you can be onboard on 14th December as a paying passenger?

 

Unintentionally, we are booked onto the first cruise post refit - the 19th December cruise.
