bambidrummer Posted December 2, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 2, 2013 What does it mean that the casino host sent me chocolate covered strawberries on the second day of my cruise?
caribsun Posted December 2, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 2, 2013 They want you in the casino ASAP.
SMSACE6 Posted December 2, 2013 #3 Share Posted December 2, 2013 I think that it is just a token of their appreciation of your "donations" in the casino.:)
Rare alrichards4003 Posted December 2, 2013 #4 Share Posted December 2, 2013 It happened to me on the Glory and it seemed I spent more on other cruises at that same point in the cruise. But it was chocolate strawberries and I ate them and made further donations in the casino.
dulcimergirl Posted December 2, 2013 #5 Share Posted December 2, 2013 I get them every cruise, sometimes twice. I wish they would replace them with maybe a dipped cookie tray, or cheese tray. Not every one can eat strawberry's and its a shame to waste them every cruise. I asked John Heald about maybe having another option, but haven't heard from him yet. Colorado Kat Posted December 2, 2013 #6 Share Posted December 2, 2013 What does it mean that the casino host sent me chocolate covered strawberries on the second day of my cruise? That you gambled too much on the last cruise?
bambidrummer Posted December 2, 2013 Author #7 Share Posted December 2, 2013 So no free cruise follow up to the strawberries? I had been winning at this point.
kona_wahine Posted December 2, 2013 #8 Share Posted December 2, 2013 (edited) I never really thought about them keeping track before until they sent me a $25 credit when we booked our latest cruise. I don't gamble that much money but do hit the casino each evening. I wouldn't mind some strawberries! :p Edited December 2, 2013 by kona_wahine
Elaine5715 Posted December 2, 2013 #9 Share Posted December 2, 2013 The casino hosts have a list of players club members and good hosts recognize good guests.

Anyislandwilldo Posted December 2, 2013 #11 Share Posted December 2, 2013 but how do i know if i got any extra things coming? You can check your VIFP profile under your carnival log in if you have one. There is a number for corporate where you can call their casino manager and see if you have any comps coming. Not sure of the number but you can search this site for it. It was posted somewhere. Good luck.
PAPERBKWRITER Posted December 2, 2013 #12 Share Posted December 2, 2013 I never really thought about them keeping track before until they sent me a $25 credit when we booked our latest cruise. I don't gamble that much money but do hit the casino each evening. I wouldn't mind some strawberries! :p Surprised anyone got anything without calling the Players Club. If you gamble enough and tell them you're coming you'll get a perk. The lowest is the strawberries and a coupon for a picture, sometimes a bottle of wine and a fruit basket and a coupon redeemable at the cage for some money. And they do keep track of your play since you need to put in your SS card to cash out.
winddawn Posted December 2, 2013 #13 Share Posted December 2, 2013 (edited) but how do i know if i got any extra things coming? Make sure Carnival has your correct address on file. Carnival mails out casino offers to guests that gamble onboard. Sometimes there seems to be little rhyme or reason to their offers and the amount you spent in the casino. They also factor in how many empty cabins they need to fill. Edited December 2, 2013 by winddawn
stewartgirl721 Posted December 2, 2013 #14 Share Posted December 2, 2013 My last Carnival cruise as soon as I walked into the cabin (first day)I had a note that stated "Drinks We're On Them" just to see the casino host. We hadn't even pulled away from the dock.
Djptcp Posted December 2, 2013 #15 Share Posted December 2, 2013 Just off the Legend yesterday and I received chocolate covered strawberries twice and a bottle of wine was brought to our main dining room table one night. All from the casino. I also had $50 in cash waiting for me in the casino cage from Michael at the Player's Club. I also wish there was something else besides the strawberries - they start to mold so quickly, so we throw them out. More money waiting for me would be my request:cool:

okgirl Posted December 7, 2013 #18 Share Posted December 7, 2013 but how do i know if i got any extra things coming? About 30 days before your next cruise call the Players Club on either 866-672-2582 or 866-766-7684. Have your last sailing date and ship name and they will see if you have any comps coming. Sometimes I will get a letter when I'm on the ship that has me call a special number before my next cruise. I get the On Us card when I get to 1500 points but I was told recently that if you get past 5000 points you get the On Us card on day one of your next cruise. PAcop141 Posted December 7, 2013 #20 Share Posted December 7, 2013 On our cruise last week I received 250.00 comp cash, strawberries a few times, wine at dinner and fruit basket from the casino. On the last night the casino host came over to the BJ table I was playing at and gave me a letter for a free 3-8 day cruise from any port for 2. has some stipulations to it but might take advantage of it..........
