Best Haven Experience or Moment

I am familiar with all the standard perks that come with booking a suite in the Haven. NCL prides itself on being the best in terms of suite amenities and service. On that note, I am looking for feedback from anyone who had an extra special "perk", experience or moment as a Haven guest. This would be outside the normal amenities already provided. The more details the better!

I find on the smaller ships, the service in the Haven is much better. In fact, my favorite Suite cruise on NCL was the Sky and they don't even have a Haven area. The concierge was outstanding and she would visit you twice a day to check on you. She got us a bottle of wine at dinner (without asking or complaining about something). She was so fantastic that we really looked forward to meeting her every morning at breakfast.

On Epic, you don't get the personal visits because there are too many suites. But if you need something they are there to serve. My father in-law had a partial come loose during the cruise. He thought he was going to choke on it at night. The concierge went online to research dentists in St Maarten. He called and then allowed us to speak to the dentist on the phone while at sea. We made the appointment and he got his partial properly removed for the rest of the trip.

I was married in the Garden Villa and wanted to walk down the stairs outside (thought would make nice pictures). Our butler was so sweet he didn't want my 70+ year old dad walking the stairs so he escorted me down then handed me off to my dad who then walked me the rest of the way down the aisle to my husband to be. :)

Using the Haven pools on the last evening around 5:30-6:00ish. It was absolutely empty and so perfect! I suppose most people were out and about at that time and I refer to this 'event' as our cherry on the Breakaway sundae!

Totally agree with you! I've been in a GV on the Jewel and a Haven Suite on the Gem.....but nothing comes close to the OS on the Sky!!! 😍 It's probably due to being a smaller ship...but it's my go-to cruise when I'm in need of some pampering!!

Room service from a mix of restaurants on board.

We had a party of seven in the Gem GV and one night we had one person who wanted to go to the buffet (and then brought his food back to eat with us) while the rest of us ordered a mix of food from Cagney's, Le Bistro, Orchid Garden, and La Cucina. This way we were each able to have an appetizer from one restaurant, an entree from another, and a dessert from a third if we wanted to. So long as we only had one entree from each place, we only paid one cover charge per restaurant. It also helps to have a fantastic Butler that doesn't mind running all over the ship to pick everything up! :)

Mine is priority embarking, a sigh of relief when we enter the pier and see a "sea" (;)) of people sitting, and you veer left and we are in Haven lounge with refreshments. A "moment" would be when my DH and I were returning from gym late one AM to see our teenage daughter and bff enjoying their brunch poolside in the courtyard with white linens and all, planning their day! So sweet.

Having the bar in the haven on the Breakaway. You get to know your other haven neighbors. Have drinks with them. Talk about the day ect. Having the restaurant there also is a big plus. Having the restaurant open for diner is great. No waiting like MDR. They will try to meet special requests. The Duck in the Haven Restaurant was just as good as the French restaurant. Haven restaurant have specials every night . You are truly in a ship with in a ship

The Sky is amazing! Out first cruise with NCL was on the Sky in an owners suite. Our butler was amazing and the concierge was beyond amazing. She met us every morning for breakfast. My family has lived in the Philippines and were comfortable with allowing our daughter to play with her new friend. My daughter was just under 2 and the concierge would hold her hand and the two of them would play games, get food from the buffet in cagneys, visit the photographer in the atrium and play with other crew members on board.

We ate breakfast and lunch without stress of the toddler being wild, they always sat us by the door and with the open space next to the check in location so that my daughter could have a few toys on the floor and when not serving customers the staff would play with her. And with the location of our table she did not disturb other guests.

We knew from living in the Philippines this was a cultural norm regarding children and were okay with her new friends. She was never out of eyesight of us.

My favorite moment was on the Dawn in the Garden Villa having a private barbeque in the courtyard area of the balcony.

Relax@Sea if you see this, will you please send me an email. I have a GV barbeque question. Thanks so much.

Our best experience... my nephews and brother were sitting at the bar in the Haven area on BA discussing our dinner plans for one of the dining rooms that required long pants. Despite everyone being told how to pack, my 22-y/o nephew failed to pack a pair of pants. Apparently the bartender (Jelli) overheard the conversation. About an hour later after everyone was back in the cabin, my sister-in-law got a call from someone in the wardrobe department (I think that's what she called it) that they heard he failed to pack long pants, and asked what size my nephew's waist was. They were going to send up a few pair of pants for him to try on, and they would tailor the pant-leg on the pair that fit the best. We were all shocked by the offer!

This was truly going above and beyond anything I've ever experienced in outstanding customer service!
