AmbeeBee Posted January 4, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2014 Hey y'all! I've been looking around for some new things for my Disney cruise coming up in April and lately I have been absolutely in love with retro vintage style. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for websites with cute vintage swimsuits in plus sizes, or even just cute plus size swimsuits in general. I'm only really looking for swim tops, as I have a pair of black bottoms and pink bottoms. I figured mixing and matching would be wiser than buying whole new swimsuits. Thanks! :D

heyitsmejudy Posted January 4, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 4, 2014 I have had very good luck with swimsuitsforall.com, both in fit, customer service and price. 30% off sale right now, in fact!
AmbeeBee Posted January 4, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted January 4, 2014 Thank you for your suggestions! I can't wait until Old Navy posts their new suits for the season. I tried modcloth, but their so expensive! I'll definitely give these sites a look! :D

Daisyloo Posted January 5, 2014 #8 Share Posted January 5, 2014 Try Lands End - they carry lots of suits and you can buy tops and bottoms seperately. Lots of plus sizes available.

CrabbyPatti Posted January 6, 2014 #14 Share Posted January 6, 2014 Try Always for Me suits. They are spendy but I now own 3 suits!! Would buy more but not much chance to swim unless on a cruise. They are well made, fabric is nice. Really pleased with this company. Also they were very quick with shipping/delivery. After years of being in tears trying to find a decent suit, very pleased with them.

iheartmarshall Posted January 7, 2014 #16 Share Posted January 7, 2014 (edited) Normally I would suggest Torrid or Lane Bryant but their selections are limited right now. Here's a few that may have what you're wanting, though. Always For Me - have some retro(ish) style tops for less than $50 http://www.alwaysforme.com/separates.html Target - always a large mix of styles http://www.target.com/sb/swimwear-women-s-clothing/-/N-5xtbwZ5tn8b#?lnk=lnav_shop%20for_9lnav_shop%20categories_9&intc=1302556|null Maurices - they have a really cute black/white/coral halter top that's kindof retro! http://www.maurices.com/family/index.jsp?categoryId=13243451&cp=3677339 Do you have a discount store like Gabriel Brothers near you? A couple years ago I found a one piece suit from Lane Bryant that is the PERFECT vintage/pin up style. It was a black/white polka dot suit with the retro sweetheart halter at the top. I got it for $12, new with LB tags, and saw it in stores the previous summer for $80+. In my local Gabe's, they carry a ton of LB suits and are already starting to put some out. You might want to try some place like that too. Edited January 7, 2014 by iheartmarshall

CrabbyPatti Posted January 8, 2014 #19 Share Posted January 8, 2014 Yes, I have ordered from them 3 different times. Very pleased with the suits and cover up I purchased. Fit well, nice fabric, excellent customer service. Will keep them on my list to do business with!:)
DJSchib Posted January 8, 2014 #20 Share Posted January 8, 2014 I have seen a couple of suits that I have liked on Always for Her website but have no clue on a size to order. With clothes I am mostly a size 12 on bottom but definitely an XL or 1X on top. I hate to play the game of buying, sending back and reordering again. Any insight ? Virtopia Posted January 9, 2014 #22 Share Posted January 9, 2014 There's an absolutely cute bathing suit on the Canadian Forever 21 website right now. I'm so tempted to buy it for my upcoming March cruise but I'm wondering if the top is going to be big enough for me. I may have go go bigger than my normal size. http://canada.forever21.com/Product/Product.aspx?BR=PLUS&Category=plus_main&ProductID=2000091162&VariantID=
