We were on the Gem this past January. We also Loved Carlos he is an excellent concierge. He made himself available to assist passengers, and never made you feel like you were putting him out. He was also a lot of fun!

Am I correct, from the wording of your post, that your info falls into the "maybe" catagory?

 

I do not normally bother with this thread but as I am sailing in 2 weeks I decided to look. I was on board for the Jan 6th sailing and will sail again in 2 weeks time. I saw Orazio Caci listed as Hotel Director and in an email to me in December he said he hoped to see me on the morning of 6th Jan but he was leaving that day and Armando was returning so I knew your facts were wrong and added some information. Sorry I did that...

 

Kim Karlsson said he was leaving the ship in February and Vanja would be returning. They are due to switch over again in early May.

 

Francesco told me he is going on leave in May around the 18th I think he said. He left the Spirit for 4 weeks while she was in Dry Dock to help out on Breakaway then returned.

Armando joined the ship on 6th of Jan and told me he was staying to the end of the Canary Isles runs and for the first Barcelona to Venice cruise, leaving at Venice. Those are facts. Armando and Francesco are both on the Spirit, I got an email from Armando only last week. He told me he was looking forward to seeing me on April 15.

 

I may return towards the end of April and name ALL of the officers on Norwegian Spirit from the 15th April sailing.

Could someone from a recent sailing update Uniall's list? We know Jenny Lim (HD) and Carlos (concierge) have just returned from vacation but the rest of the chart is pretty much blank.

 

Captain, F & B Dir., Restaurant Mgr, CD, Latitudes/Cruise Consultant are the main ones missing.

 

Who is the current "Caribbean/Reggae" band?

I went back and re-read his email, and I maybe mistook "I will be seeing my family in 2 weeks" as vacation, when they may be boarding the ship or seeing him in port. Sorry for the misinterpretation.

Please understand that it wasn't "my facts" that were wrong.

They were other people's facts that I gathered together and reported them in an oveview recap post.

In some cases, the other peoples' facts were wrong OR had become out of date.

That's why I posted the Last Updated date by the Ship's Name but left earlier dates next to individual officers it there was no comment on them in the latest Reports.

 

I did not mean to offend you, in any fashion with my reply to your post.

I wanted to make sure that I correctly understood your post to mean that you were not certain of the current Catpain's status.

Can anyone give a current update for the Star? Doing the Panama Canal on April 20.

The last time I cruised on the Star (Oct 2012 Repo from NYC to NOLA), she had the BEST ever crew and staff on NCL!
