Elann Posted March 26, 2014 #129 Share Posted March 26, 2014 (edited) To get my 5 year old daughter excited for our cruise, we had told her about the chocolate buffet. She was so excited about that - for months that was all she would talk about. When we were on the Pearl, we ran into the Executive Chef on the deck. I told her that he was in charge of the Chocolate Buffet and she ran up to him and hugged him. Poor man took it all in stride and asked her if she liked chocolate and her name. That night - this was delivered to our room just for her with compliments from the chef. And that is why I LOVE NCL! british lady Posted March 26, 2014 #136 Share Posted March 26, 2014 I have photos of every meal both my DH and I have ever had on board during our 15 NCL cruises - if you have a certain "request" just ask me. If I ever tried it, then I probably have a picture of it as well.... :p This is one of my favorites - the rack of lamb at Le Bistro. Hi, thank you for the lamb pictures, love lamb! Do you have any pictures of the Indian food? First NCL cruise in June.

TrumpyNor Posted March 27, 2014 #140 Share Posted March 27, 2014 (edited) What restaurant did this come from? It looks delicious. 6&8 When we were on the Norwegian Sun in the summer of 2012, they actually changed one of the bars on board in to a laid back Spanish tapas restaurant for the first half of the evenings. Maybe this is something similar? I will just enclose a thumbnail photo of our tapas meal, so that you can see what I am talking about. umpy10 Posted March 29, 2014 #143 Share Posted March 29, 2014 Now that I figured out my mistake, here's the rest of the Chef's Table pics. #1 (not in order) Food and Beverage Manager, Sommelier , Executive Head Chef, and ? #2 Ahi Tuna Tartare w/ Orange Wasabi Glaze / Sesame Crisp #3 Asparagus Cream w/ Cauliflower Flan / Crispy Beetroot & Saffron Angel Hair #4 Short Crust Tartlet w/ Goat Cheese / Sun Dried Tomato Chutney / Basil Oil / Kalamata Olive Tapenade #5 Milk-Fed Veal Chop w/ Anna Potatoes / Sauteed Spinach / Truffle Veal Jus ( the veal Chop was the groups least fav., tough and under seasoned) Didn't get a chance to take a pic of the very first course : Amuse Bouche Molecular Gastronome w/ Spherical Mango / Vodka and Jalapeno Ravioli. Of course don't forget that we had a Wine Pairing for each course + Champagne before and after we arrived in Cagney's Private Dining Room + Cocktails at evening's end @ the Piano Bar. Needless to say, we all were feeling no pain 3/4's thru the meal. Hope these came out ok, we certainly enjoyed the whole evening and highly recommend everyone to experience The Chef's Table, well worth it. cheers...the Ump...:D

Rare mking8288 Posted April 8, 2014 #150 Share Posted April 8, 2014 (edited) Red Snapper & Shrimp, served in the Manhattan Room, which I had after getting my month's share of assorted Salmon already - and dessert. Our new all-time favorite in LeBistro - the Four Mushroom Soup, lower in sodium & healthier than the French Onion Soup; and now that we've reached Platinum status, we will be dining there at twice per sailing or more. Black mussels, ordered 3 to share among the six of us, in a rich broth. Sampler, BIL still working on his mussels The Creame Burlee used to be served in the MDR, at least once, and, it's just another excuse to do Specialty - topped off with coffee brewed with French Press. As our nephew said, worry about dieting after getting back home on dry land. Edited April 8, 2014 by mking8288
