We're staying for two nights pre-cruise. Is $520 tax included for both nights considered a good deal or could I get better on Priceline, Hotwire, ...?

There are many threads on the Embassy Suites- it is very popular. As popular as it is, there may not be better prices on the other sites.

PL and HW rarely include this hotel during peak weekend months. You can check on lastminutetravel.com, hotels.com, otel.com But I'd gues you aren't going to find anything so close to the date now. THe cruiselines book some of their land stay passengers there.

No vouchers. Breakfast is standard at Embassy Suites.

I've stayed there......it's not worth that price. If I was in FL for 2 nights I would much rather have a resort than that hotel. It is convenient for a night if you come in in the evening but I wouldn't consider it a "vacation" place.

We usually get the best rate at ES using Last Minute Travel Club.

We are staying there in July and booked a suite (regular room) for $109.

Nice breakfast

Nice Managers cocktail hour

 

For a one-nighter, cannot complain.

 

I heard they redid the breakfast area, cannot wait to see the renovation.

TOTALLY obscene and ridiculous. :eek: THis is a chain hotel. No beach. On a busy street. A "free" breakfast and drink doesn't make this a 4 star resort property. They are going nuts with that kind of rate. I'm shaking my head on this one!:rolleyes:

Embassy Suites isn't worth half that per night. Try Lastminutetravel, you might be able to find something better.

I got ES last year on Priceline for $85 night for Feb 18 - 23rd. That was a great deal with the breakfast buffet and manager's cocktail hour each night. I won the bid about weeks prior to the dates, and I had a cancellable hotel reservation elsewhere for backup. Sometimes you don't get the real good deals until last minute.

 

I am hoping to get something as good this year pre-cruise Feb 14 - 16, but that's a prime weekend (Valentine's Day) so prices are jacked up everywhere. Probably won't be so luck.

 

ES is nice, but not worth the price you would be paying.

Weekdays are always lower. So you won't see anything near that for your weekend dates this year. Good luck!;)

Price is too high. Shop around. Ck comfort suite, cruise port. We stayed there and it was fine, a 10 min walk to shops and embassy suites. So same neighborhood.

Geez, we are booked there on 2/28 for $287 and that includes transfers to cruise ship. I agree - $350 is crazy but it's all supply and demand. We booked a long time ago. We would have preferred Hyatt Pier 66 but our friends chose ES.
