Monterey Question

A quick google search will get lots of "hits". Here's a good one:

Other than the controversy discussed in the video, there's no technical problem with a large ships. Monterey Bay is a huge underwater canyon and the water is over 10,000 feet deep at the mouth of the Bay.

WOW, I'm really surprised that a Cruise ship would be allowed in Monterey Bay.

Monterey only has two piers. The Fisherman's wharf pier and the old commercial fishing pier.

They do but with extra-stringent requirements. A number of years ago Crystal cruises let off waste into the bay and were permanently banned.

We are on the Century this April arriving in Monterey, California via tender. At which pier does the tender let passengers on/off?

Thanks

Fisherman's Wharf. not too far from Cannery Row at all.

in fact when you walk down the Row and head to Taste of Monterey, you'll see her at anchor. which is where I will be....sipping fine wine and whale watching.
