Noise on the sun

We stayed in 1003, same OS but on the Port side (weird how they numbered those rooms on deck 11 - Port side are numbered 10## and Starboard numbered 12##). The observation lounge isn't right on top of you, but sits a bit further back. We were in that suite for a 10 day southern carribbean. Never heard any noise from overhead. There is an observation deck up there. Never heard anyone running, but occasionally when we were outside we could hear someone talking up there. If we got far enough out on the balcony we could look up and see that there was someone taking in the forward view. They couldn't see us unless we wanted them to. The bridge is just below, so very quiet from underneath.

It is layed much differently from most owners suites, but we did enjoy it. The most unusual thing was having a sliding glass door in the closet/dressing area that opened to the hot tub - which we did use frequently when underway at night. I liked that master bathroom as well as any on the Dawn and Jewel class ships. There is a half bath in a corridor near the front door.

Great suite, and no, we did not find it the least bit noisy. Enjoy!

We were in a balcony next to an owners suite. No noise from the observation lounge. When we were at the rail of our balcony and people above were at the rail of the observation lounge "balcony" we could hear them talking. Great location and no problem.

Here is photo I took of the Sun - you can see how the observation lounge is situated. The music in the lounge is mellow - in June it was a duo who were very enjoyable.

Sailed on the SUN SB Anchorage to Vancouver July 2013 in mini suite 1010

Absolutely perfect from any noise above ***

Like a previous poster noted it seem to be underutilized - seemed to be more like a library with a bar.

Evening activities were very low key - 3 piece Classical Music combo soft serenading music.

NO thumping heavy BASS !

***

Now regarding the NOISE *** The cabin next to me every time they came and

went

The cabin door would shut with an "EXPLOSIVE SLAM" and enough to wake the dead !

But your selection of the OS should pose no problemo - No common doors

with your neighbors.

AND good golly enjoy that OS - had a chance to peak in while the cabin steward

was making it up - just don't let it go to your head about owning the ship ! LOL !
