The_Big_M Posted April 3, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 3, 2014 It was announced months ago. The above promotion even started about 2 months back (which was some time after the announcement)
timtam2 Posted April 3, 2014 #4 Share Posted April 3, 2014 "Sold off" is a bit harsh!I prefer the way they put it "leaving the fleet". I dont know if it was confirmed if she is moving to that French cruiseline (a division of RCI)? Love the Century....I'm glad I have another cruise on her ♡

I dont know if it was confirmed if she is moving to that French cruiseline (a division of RCI)? Love the Century....I'm glad I have another cruise on her ♡ Meant no disrespect, just confirming what we knew months ago, that she was being sold off/leaving the fleet/ or however you want to say it.:D
The_Big_M Posted April 7, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 7, 2014 It was already confirmed. There was no doubt about it. Especially as they had announced it a few months back.
aussie cruzer Posted April 7, 2014 #7 Share Posted April 7, 2014 It was already confirmed. There was no doubt about it. Especially as they had announced it a few months back. You said that in post #3. Thanks for the reminder.
The_Big_M Posted April 7, 2014 #8 Share Posted April 7, 2014 Yep. It was also said months ago, so the same thing applies above saying that it needed to be "confirmed" again. :)

Rare MicCanberra Posted April 8, 2014 Author #10 Share Posted April 8, 2014 So just to be clear, and to remind everyone who may or may not have known about it, The Century is leaving the Celebrity fleet.:D
Kiwi Kruzer Posted April 8, 2014 #11 Share Posted April 8, 2014 You will still be able to cruise on her if you want....but it will be under Pullmantur which is what Royal Caribbean call themselves in the Med. Celebrity Century is to join CDF Croisières de France, the Paris-based subsidiary of Pullmantur/Royal Caribbean, in spring 2015, adding more berths, balcony cabins and amenities. Celebrity Century is the oldest ship in the Celebrity fleet and, apart from the 98-passenger Galápagos vessel, Celebrity Xpedition, the smallest. It is currently operating from Port Everglades, offering varied Panama Canal, Bahamas and Caribbean cruises, to be followed by Pacific coastal voyages and a return to Alaska in the summer. A mid-September cruise will reposition the ship from San Francisco to Sydney for the balance of 2014 and early 2015. In February 2015, Celebrity Century will embark on a series of cruises from Singapore, capped with a sailing to Dubai in late March. A cruise from Dubai via the Suez Canal will take the ship to the Mediterranean, arriving in Civitavecchia in late April 2015.

It'll actually be with Croisières de France, which is their French speaking subsidiary. You could book with them - but it would be best if you knew French if you wanted to do that. ;)
