IdahoCruises Posted May 21, 2014 #29 Share Posted May 21, 2014 Having lived in Seattle for 23 years.... We found the crab to be over spiced. It definitely was not king crab, but possibly small snow crab. To our taste (food is subjective), we did not return on a 15 day cruise....

There are two different menus for the Crab Shack depending on the ship. We definitely had king crab on the Ruby as we have king crab at every opportunity. It certainly wasn't Tracy's but it was king. bhopal21 Posted May 22, 2014 #36 Share Posted May 22, 2014 That appears to be the "Mixed Steamer Selection" and we had just the King Crab Selection without the mussels, etc. I still can't seem to get this large enough Mike:)

hubofhockey Posted May 22, 2014 #43 Share Posted May 22, 2014 Is it safe to assume that now that they have these crab shacks, that they got rid of the the seafood buffets where they had the crab, shrimp, etc. (for no charge)?
FunandSunPeeps Posted May 23, 2014 Author #44 Share Posted May 23, 2014 Yes...I remember those great seafood sailaways...my guess would be that this replaced that activity! Anyway...I will be trying in this weekend!

That is what I planned to order, so I didn't question him. On our menu the crab legs came with peel & eat shrimp. I don't like the peel & eat part, so I didn't choose that.
