Concierge Club on Enchantment Of The Seas

Recommended Posts

I just booked a Grande Suite on the Enchantment Of The Seas. First time ever, thought I would surprise my wife for our Anniversary. I do have a couple of questions having never been to the Concierge Club area before. I understand there is a " Honors Bar " Can anyone tell me what can be found at this bar and what hours can you use it? I was thinking about getting the Ultimate Liquor package with this cruise but if I can get free beer, wine and other liquors in the Concierge area anytime I want it doesn't make sense to pay for it. Can you please tell me how it works so I can make a decision? Thanks for your time answering these questions.

The "honor bar" is old terminology that has never been fixed on the website. The bar in the CL is attended, and as noted above, has limited hours. The drink choices in the CL are also more limited than what you can get with the Premium or Ulitmate drink packages.

when you come off the elevator in the VCL, to the left there is a ramp going up behind the bar. at the top of that ramp is the door to the CL.

it serves a basic low level continental breakfast til about 1030 am. cocktail hour is 5-830 with hot and cold appetizers. there is limited bar service available.. wine, mixed drinks( nothing frozen and don't expect top shelf) only during this evening cocktail hour.

if you plan on drinking at dinner and throughout the day, but the package. the only think you have 24 hour access to is the fancy coffee machine.

I can get drinks in the Diamond lounge, but I enjoy still getting the drink package. I hate the feeling of having to stay in the lounge for drinks, almost like I miss whats going on around the ship.

But if you are a lite drinker then, I'd pass.

Save some drinks for me, because I'm just right behind you on 6/13 sailing.

I agree with Merion Mom. Just buy drinks as u go during the day and get the free drinks at night in the CL. You'll definitely save more $ then getting the drink package. The CL lounge is our favorite place on the ship and you'll enjoy relaxing up there each night

That's a rather subjective opinion, and varies greatly based on each individual's drinking habits and preferences. I admit that I'm much more familiar with the drink package on Celebrity than the one on Royal, but I think it still varies greatly.

If all you tend to do is have a cocktail or two before dinner and only very occasionally another drink, then sure- stick with the CL and pay a la carte at other times.

If on the other hand, you live it up on vacation and have a Bloody Mary in the morning, a couple of frozen drinks or beers by the pool in the afternoon, a couple of glasses of wine with dinner, an after dinner cordial, a drink or two late at night in the casino or show, plus a couple of bottles of water throughout the day, a premium coffee or two at breakfast, a soda here and there, you might still save money with the premium or ultimate package even though you are getting a free martini or two in the CL during happy hour. :)

I agree with waterbug. Look carefully at your drink habits. The package works out to about 5 or 6 top price drinks per day (including in port and boarding day). If you are in port a lot and won't drink much on the ship then the package may be a waste. But if you like to drink throughout the day then it might be beneficial. We have slowed our cruise drinking down as we age. We drink mostly during the happy hour. Plus we like the Wine Package in lieu of ordering a glass at dinner. So the drink package was not for us. We just returned from Alaska and our total drink bill was under $250 plus the wine package. Total was $439. And that did include a couple of other small expenses in the shops but not many. That cost was for both my wife and I, so a drink package would have been too much. But, we had 2 to 3 drinks each during the happy hour. That would add up to about $336 if you figure $8 per drink for 7 nights. Based on that cost the drink package would have been about a break even and would likely had been used to buy more expensive drinks than in the Concierge Lounge.

So, it really depends how much, and what drinks, you like to drink.
