Our FTTF review

I got the FTTF to help keep hubby who has back issues from standing or sitting in one place for to long. The BEST 50 bucks I've ever spent.

Our luggage was priority tagged right before we got on the ship.

We got on by 11:30, went straight to our cabin, dropped our things and went to eat.

I think we had our luggage by 1:30.

I had to go to Guest Services for a few things on several different trips and it was fast, easy and I was never there more than two minutes.

Our debarkation luggage tags and letter telling us where to go to debark were in our room the day before.

We didn't have a tender port so I can't comment on that portion.

This morning we docked and at 8:20 a.m. Carnival had me pulling my car out of Pier 10's parking structure.

Fast, Easy on Hubby, Easy on Me, Quick Debarking...oh yeah..I'll definitely purchase it again.

Good to hear. Purchased it for our Liberty Cruise this September. So which itinerary did you do? How was the ship?:)

Thanks for your review of FttF. I have purchased this for my upcoming cruise for similar reasons. Cannot stand for long periods without pain in leg/back and also especially since I travel solo now, I hate to drag around the carryon luggage through the lido while trying to pick up some lunch. For me, this time, the added cost is sounding like it will be worth it.

We did fttf last oct. on the dream. I have to be pushed up the ramp in a wheelchair and for a nice tip he pushed me all the way to my room on deck six. My room was ready and shortly ther after our luggage was in our room. No lines at GS. When we were in belize they escorted down the elevator and onto the first tender. It does not work on return to the ship but was nice tonget to port first. On debarkation day we were off the ship at 8:30AM. How nice is that. Great deal for the money. We have 70 days left til the pride again.

Thanks for the review. We usually do not use it, but next week on the Dream we purchased mainly because we will have two of our small grandkids and we want to be able to go straight to room and drop bags off as soon as we get onboard. :)

Not to burst your bubble, but for $50.00 you got to drop a carry on 1 1/2 hours early, and got luggage about 2 hours sooner? All for $50.00? Sounds like you did not really get on the ship early, and you could have also get off early if you wanted. I still don't see why everyone gets so excited to pay for items that cost Carnival nothing, and you can get for free!

We purchased FTTF for our 16 day Hawaii cruise out of Long Beach, CA in April. We were really excited to have it but it was not a good thing when sailing out of Long Beach. We did not get on the ship until 1:30 , did get to go to our room and up to eat but our luggage did not get to cabin until after 7:30 ! We had reservations at the steakhouse for 6:30 and no luggage before we went. We have always been on the ship by 11:30 and had our luggage by 3:30 on our previous cruises and that was without paying the $50.00 for FTTF. We did use it to tender in Kona but we did not have an excursion so there was no rush. Debarkation in Vancouver was so organized once we got off the ship that we didn't need it.

We would think twice about purchasing it again. Felt it was a waste of the money for us and guest services were not helpful about it either. But to each his own.

Thanks for your review of FTTF. We had it last summer on the Breeze, and loved using it. As noted, it was well worth the $50 bucks. We also have it on our upcoming Sunshine cruise, which will be the first time using it for tendered ports, so I'll be reviewing that process when we get back. Thanks again for the review.

I feel the exact same way about FTTF and will continue to purchase it until I become Platinum on Carnival.

IMHO:

- "Worth" is very subjective and individualized, and

- If you haven't tried it, not sure your opinion is "worth" much! :o

BTW -- we did try and LOVED it!! We have purchased it again for our upcoming Liberty cruise.

To each his own.....

We used it our last cruise and loved it! So worth the $50 just to leave stuff in the room. I bought it for my next 2 cruises. I used it at the guest service deck several times on my last cruise. I would recommend it.

Every time a FTTF thread is started there is a few of these and I can just say as with everyone else that it is what you consider as value and how much 50.00 means to you.

For me, I just got off the Dream recently and we were on by 1130, went to our rooms where are luggage was already there, dropped off all our stuff and then went and discovered the ship. Seeing so many people lugging around their carry ons and 12 packs of soda was enough for me.

The amount of people that do not prefer it definitely outweighs the people that do. Many people don't even know it exists.

I respect anyone that doesn't feel it is worth it, just question their stance when they haven't even tried it.

Actually, I have just the opposite. I have cruised over 20 times, and always get on a ship by 11:30, just like the poster. In all cases, I have always had my luggage well before dinner and the muster drills. So I pay nothing, get the same service as the poster. The only benefit the poster stated was they were able to drop carry on in the room. I just don't see the value of paying Carnival for the honor of dropping off 1 small bag in the room.

All this will do, is give Carnival extra cash, for a service, that cost them nothing to achieve.

So I do it for free, and you do it for $50.00. I think I will buy my "free" ticket, and let others pay the silly fee to Carnival for an ill perceived benefit.

Basically what you "see" when you see all those people with the 12 packs of soda, is that if they paid $50.00, they could bring it to their room quicker, but yet they brought their own soda, to save money? I just don't understand. It kind of defeats the purpose of saving?

But people do love giving money to Carnival for free services!
