Questions on making changes after final payment

not cancellation but a cabin change. Is that possible without penalty? Can you go from a mini-suite to balcony of vice-versa?

You can upgrade but if you downgrade there will be no refund so don't do it.

From what I understand, they will sometimes allow an upgrade in category, but not a downgrade. You'll need to contact Princess or your TA for a definitive answer in your situation.

I made a change to my cabin, but the new one is the same category as the old one. I had booked after the final payment date. The cabin I moved to wasn't showing up as available when I booked.

 

As others have suggested call your travel agent (or Princess if you booked direct) to find out if there will be a difference in price. You won't know until you ask.

I upgraded myself on my upcoming Royal cruise in September after final payment. There was a big price drop and I just paid the difference between my inside and the balcony cabin as well as the slightly higher insurance. My TA was able to cancel and re-book with the new rate and I was able to keep my old promos plus the new promo. Prices have now doubled. A good TA that books a lot of Princess cruises can make a big difference.

I noticed that the prices returned to the higher rates after only a few days & glad to know that you were able to keep your promos & to get the new promo. :)
