Grover_ Posted August 17, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 17, 2014 Just off the Coral Princess to Alaska. I highly recommend trying the croissant doughnut from the International Cafe. I had one every morning with my latte. This morning I was looking forward to one last cronut before disembarking and they didn't have them :(
shredie Posted August 17, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 17, 2014 See, if you tell everybody, then they run out! ;) Yep. They are yummy.
Bettyboop66 Posted August 17, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 17, 2014 Do you know if they have them on all ships? Going on the Ruby in Dec. and they sound yummy. Would love to give them a try.

cubfan63 Posted August 17, 2014 #8 Share Posted August 17, 2014 The croissant donuts were available last November on the Caribbean Princess, at the International Cafe. They were outstanding!
LovetheSea Posted August 17, 2014 #9 Share Posted August 17, 2014 (edited) I will have to try one of these on our cruise in Sept. My favorite homemade doughnut I had on my last cruise (Ruby Princess) was the Mango filled one. My nice husband would go to the International Cafe every morning and bring me back some goodies from the International Cafe for breakfast while I was getting ready. Then later we would have lunch. Never very tempted by the food in the buffet for breakfast. Never been a breakfast eater at home. Usually just toast and coffee. BananaAnna Posted August 17, 2014 #10 Share Posted August 17, 2014 Mercy! My BFF and I make a 75 mile round trip to pick up our favorite cro-nuts. She'll flip when she hears I'll be about 200 feet from them in November! Thanks for the heads up Grover_ .
Cabob1 Posted August 17, 2014 #11 Share Posted August 17, 2014 They are really good. I was almost sorry I found out about them! I saw them on the Coral.
Chicagobearfan Posted August 17, 2014 #12 Share Posted August 17, 2014 Cronuts were on the Golden when we sailed Alaska this past July. If you don't get to the International Cafe early in the morning, they are usually gone. They make a couple hundred each morning, but they are the first to be gone. As others have posted, they are delicious!
Rare geoherb Posted August 17, 2014 #13 Share Posted August 17, 2014 We tried one on the Caribbean Princess a couple of weeks ago. I did not think it was all that special. I tasted DH's, thinking I'd get my own if I really liked it.
kendon Posted August 17, 2014 #14 Share Posted August 17, 2014 (edited) Had one on the CB...they are very oily. But then again I'm not a donut fan. Edited August 17, 2014 by kendon
tiller Posted August 17, 2014 #15 Share Posted August 17, 2014 They were on the Grand but my mom and I never got around to trying them. One of my few regrets.

Twosonmum Posted August 18, 2014 #21 Share Posted August 18, 2014 How many laps of the deck equal one cronut? Methinks I might wear my shoes out!
dorisis Posted August 18, 2014 #22 Share Posted August 18, 2014 Three weeks from now I'll be on CB and I could try one. But it might spoil my Sabatini breakfast. We'll see. I like a mid morning cappacino, so maybe if there are any left???

waltd Posted August 19, 2014 #25 Share Posted August 19, 2014 Looks like it might go great with a dollop of whip cream and some fresh strawberries and of course a cup of fresh coffee.
