Your menus and formal nights:

 

AL West: Mojo, Saffron (Formal), Pimiento, Basil, Jasmine (Formal), Shiitake, Pomodoro

They are on Monday night and Thursday night.

and I can tell you that the formal nights are becoming less & less formal.

There were lots of large family groups that were really dressed up. Probably for the great pictures they could get taken.

My husband was the only man at our large table with a suit & tie....he said he almost felt out of place !

Lots of jackets without a tie, but I would say the majority of people were not what I would consider dressed formal at all.

On both our Independence of the Seas and Allure of the Seas Western cruises we did notice fewer people dressed up for formal night.

 

More folks were dressed up on the second formal night, most likely becauuse it is "lobster night", but I did notice many shirts and ties (no jackets) or jackets with no ties. We of course always get dressed up as my wife loves her formal pictures!

On our July sailing of the Allure, there were less than 25% of the men dressed up in suits, let alone tuxes.

 

But those who did looked stunning.

(DH rented a tux and I am so glad he did)

 

Yes casual on formal night, suit coat no tie more and more common.
