Tendering in Belize

Just make sure you go to the Theatre for your tender ticket early, they give them out first come first served.

Regards coming back I would think it may be around 5.15pm last tender, it is quite a long tender ride from what I recall.

Does everyone need a tender ticket, regardless of whether they have a ship's excursion?

I believe so. That way they allot the available spaces on each tender. There have been other threads - I will check.

Not about Belize per se, but there were some answers in this thread about FP, as an example, that apply to all sailings: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2025834&highlight=tender

Once all the ship's tours and those ticketed passengers who want to get off early are off there will then be open boarding for everyone else. You do not need a ticket.

I think Tarheel is concerned about getting off early, before all the ship's tours depart. If you go early - while tours are also boarding - I think you do need a ticket.

Apologies if this is wrong.

We will be in a B3 cabin and are taking a private tour in Belize. Is there any way we could take one of the first tenders or are we doomed to be near the end of the line?

The ship departs at 6pm. What time would the last tender leave Belize City?

Thanks!

Yes, you definitely need a tender ticket. Just go as early as you are ready to leave to the lounge and get one. We are in port from 8 AM to 6 PM that day so I am not worried about our private tour although we are going all the way out to Lamanai.

Hope you decide to join our roll call.

I realized that. I was just stating that AFTER all are off then there is open tendering.

The ride is usually 15 to 20 min at least the few times we have tendered there

They use the locals to ferry passengers ashore

As Deb said after the tours have departed then they will announce open tendering... so not required to head to the lounge for a ticket

If you want to be off early though you need to have all your party with you when you get the tender tickets

They count the passengers per tender allocation

YMMV
