Difference between Diamond and Concierge Lounges

We are going on Brilliance and are D+. What is the difference between the two lounges? Does one have a better view and get less crowded? Do the serve the same food and drinks?

Same food, drinks, and amenities.

Both are up in Viking Crown now, so the view will be similar. The DL looks out more forward and the CL would be more to the port side.

On the Brilliance, they are next to each other separated by the elevators. Different view- one faces the rear and port side, the other mostly forward of the VCL.

The CL is bigger, but the DL will expand into the Viking Crown Lounge. So in the end, they end up the same.

We just sailed on her a few weeks ago, and pretty evenly spread our evenings out between the two lounges.

Same food, same drinks, same really friendly attitudes.

Hard to choose.

And if the weather is nice, the conciergelounge has a nice outside area!

Depending on the numbers, the concierge lounge can be very crowded, and so can the diamond lounge.

Last year we spent 46 days on Brilliance doing a b2b Baltic then transatlantic, and the l

Conciergelounge was overflowing every night. Same thing in October during the repositioning, both lounges over capacity. I heard over 700 diamond, Diamond plus and pinnacles onboard for those sailings.

Since we will again do the repositioning, I am hoping the drink vouchers will help!

CL - All seats could be taken by 16.15

DL - All seats could be taken by 16.30

Therefore, the difference is actually only 15 minutes:D

From my experience after 6:30 it's much less crowded.

Our experience as well. Once early seating guests have left the lounge for dinner, both lounges are considerably less crowded. On some of our cruises there have been so many guests eligible to access one or both of the lounges that the Colony Club has been used for an overflow. The introduction of the three free drinks per day (during happy hour) should aid with the overcrowding problem.

Also do not forget the space made by guests taking late sitting, wishing to watch a pre-dinner show. But after the show, there could be no seats available in the lounges, as the 18.30 shift arrivers are still there.

I agree. The vouchers have changed our DL/CL lounge attendance already. We would typically come back to the lounge after dinner early dinner for a drink. Now we have that drink in Schooner, the theater, or some other lounge.

Throw into the mix a transatlantic eastbound, then watch the Q start at 16.00 hours outside the larger lounge (say Pyramid), and try for a seat at 20.00

Agree the vouchers were intended to reduce congestion, but the new demographic now use these enbloc to take drinks (bottles unopened) back to their room, to consume while changing or to stockpile. Then directly to the lounge for more freebies and pile the plate before dinner.

In the P lounge have witnesed the use of a plastic bottle and funnel inside a female's handbag, allowing the man to pour in jamesons. At the end of the session, he even sucked the tube to remove the last dregs.

Glad we are out of this appalling mayhem, having moved away.

RCL now, is not what it was, and one steps aside to allow the new demographic to continue to do what the new demographic does. Think it is called progress

What's the P lounge?
